Rev. Kelvin McKisic

Rev. Kelvin McKisic was born in Detroit and educated in electrical engineering, but found his greatest joy in preaching and teaching the Word of God. Licensed and ordained into the ministry in 2004, he is currently the Pastor of One Faith, One Christ Church in Wilmington, CA. Kelvin attended many churches before finding his church hone at True Light Missionary Gospel Church. At True Light, Kelvin received his calling to be a Baptist minister, and later became its Pastor, serving the church for over three years before planting a new church and becoming its shepherd. Kelvin, while serving at True Light received his Bachelors and Masters in Theology from Reed Christian College. Through his obedience to the call of God, Kelvin has been blessed to be a husband of one, a father of three, and a minister to many.

Introduction

Love is both an attribute of God and a description of his being. His love is unconditional, and he is the one who first loved us. God showed his love in the Garden of Eden when he removed Adam and Eve from the garden. He removed them from the garden so that they would not eat of the Tree of Life and live forever in the grip of sin. God’s love abounds all around us, and he wants us to open our eyes to see how much he loves us.

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. Genesis 1:1

Beginning of God’s Love

God created man in his own image and likeness and gave man dominion over the earth and all things that live on it. Then he blessed us. His love created us to be the very best; Psalm 139:14 states, I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

When sin entered the world through deception of the serpent, God made provisions for man to be saved from the disobedience of man in the garden. Through his love, he set in motion the birth of Jesus Christ, the light of the world and savior for all mankind. Although mankind was now cursed because of disobedience to God’s command to not eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, his love gave us an out from the effect of sin.
