    Being a bipo ok are individual, I found this book to be s little general and only slightly informative. My husband did read it as well and he profited great in how to deal with me and my spikes and downfalls.

Chapter 1: Bipolar 101: Definition, Myths, Types, and the Thin Line that Separates it from Depression

So, what is bipolar disorder? This disorder is also popularly called manic depression (different to depression, but closely related). It can cause severe shifts in behavior, energy, mood, and judgment. It is more than just an ephemeral good or bad mood. Bipolar disorder cycles may last for a few days, weeks, or even months. The mood swings of people with bipolar disorder can be so intense that the said changes interfere with their ability to function well – the mood changes involved are different and more extreme than the usual mood swings that most people experience.

An individual with bipolar disorder might impetuously buy anything and charge the expensive amount to their credit card, quit from work, try a dangerous stunt, or may feel satisfied with a two-hour sleep during a manic episode. When there’s a depressive episode, an individual might feel too tired to bring him or herself up after sleeping for eight hours.
