    Dedication

It is an honor to dedicate my book to my family, especially my children. I thank God for my children. They are the reason I am writing this book. Without my children I don’t know if The Mary Experience would have ever existed.

Terrance, you are the rock. You are strong and dependable. I can count on you. I will always refer to you as my rock. You are the oldest. I hope you will always have the mindset to take care and lead your siblings. You are special and God has great things for you to do. Never forget that. Jesus said in Matthew 16:18, And I say also unto thee, that thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

Torrance, you are my baby boy. You are very creative. You have great ideas and dreams. Never give up on your dreams. Although you are my baby boy, you have other siblings that will look to you for help. Remember you are important to God. Remember that God is always with you in this journey called life. God wants to use you for great things for His glory. David said in Psalm 121:1-2, "I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. ² My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth."

Chanel, you are my daughter. You respond just like me. Remember what the scriptures say in Jeremiah 29:11. God has great plans for you. Remember your siblings are going to need you, especially Zion. I love you Chanel. Jeremiah 29:11 says, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

Zion, you are my baby girl. You are very talented. You are very creative. Always look to the hills from which cometh your help. You have a great opportunity to do something great in the Lord. Never forget that it is the Lord’s doing, and not of yourself. Zechariah 9:9 says, Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.

Zechariah, you are my youngest and dearest son. You are the Bishop. That is what they called you in church. I call you that because I know God has big plans for you. Regardless of what you have already gone through in your life, you are an overcomer. I thank God for that. Continue to be a man of God. Remember that in Zechariah 4:6 it says, Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, saying, ‘Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.’ I love you all, in Jesus’s name. Amen.

    Preface

Three a.m., in the quietness of a brisk winter morning, immediately I am fully alert and awake. Revelation has clearly entered into my mind. With an outburst I stated, Those who are of God experience what Mary, the mother of Jesus, experienced. Every Christian on the face of the earth has gone through the same experience as Mary did in the city of Nazareth. Every Catholic, Baptist, Methodist, Pentecostal, Presbyterian, or any other denomination or non-denomination under the banner of Jesus Christ, has all experienced the same experience that Mary experienced when she was impregnated with the Word of God. To my surprise, a great and overwhelming feeling of joy moved throughout my body. I awakened to the truth about the process of Mary’s experience.

In this wonderful revelatory moment, I found myself opened up to another piece of the puzzle of God’s Word. Thinking through the things that happened to Mary with God’s Word and correlating to my experiences with God’s Word, I examined the process and was amazed. Mary heard God’s word. I heard God’s word. Mary believed God’s Word. I also believed God’s word. Mary received God’s Word. I received God’s Word. The Word grew and developed on the inside of Mary. I experienced the same thing. Suddenly, I then realized that there is a pattern or process that God designed for humanity concerning his Word. It is amazing the process that every believer has to go through to experience God’s Word. God designed a process for man to experience his Word. I began to reflect on the Word going from God to being made flesh. As I continued to reflect on the process, it became overwhelmingly clear that everyone who identifies as God’s child has experienced this process. And everyone who has experienced the Mary Experience is in one of the stages within the process. So, I asked myself, Where am I in this process?

We, as free agents, have to choose to allow this process of the Word of God to take place in our lives. However, to understand this process, it has to begin with God and end with God. This is a concept that most people can’t grasp. Nothing starts with you. Everything that you can imagine started outside of you. You did not create anything. Everything comes from God’s Word. The Word of God is the foundation of everything that exists.

My natural father thought that he was God. He only trusted in himself. If anything good happened in his life, he didn’t look to anyone else to thank or praise for them but to himself. If anything bad happened in his life, he took full responsibility for what happened. This was pre-salvation. When my natural father accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and savior, God revealed to him that he is not in control of anything. And everything good that happened to him in his life came from God. Every good gift and every perfect gift came from above. My father realized that all that he is or will be is not based on him but based on God’s plan for his life. His life started with God and will end with God.

In the Bible, the Apostle John gave us revelation of the deity of Jesus Christ being the Word. John 1:1-5;14 says, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning
