Preface
Once upon a time lost and now so very old
Brave men became noble knights that were very bold
When the lands were ruled by just and peaceful great kings
Bards would tell tales and with music they would doth sing
Of beautiful maidens and great deeds of brave knights
Underneath clear, moonlit, warm, star-filled summer nights
Where swords and sorcery clashed ’tween evil and good
Great monuments were built where brave heroes once stood
Dragons and other creatures would roam wild and free
Amidst the vast forests filled with majestic trees
The seasons would come and then quickly come to pass
Which now brings us to a wonderous tale at last… .
The Knight
A chivalrous knight in armor of midnight black
Mounts firmly upon his trusted steed’s sturdy back
This beautiful horse all in alabaster white
Together they forge out into the cold dark night
As the portcullis of the castle lifts away
The two companions move forward along their way
Across the drawbridge upon their most noble quest
Into this cruel unforgiving night without rest
Out into this turbulent vast world
