About The Authors

THE RESERVOIR
The water sparkles blue and calm.
Tourists and locals pause to see.
They do not know or don’t recall
What lies beneath this tranquil scene.
Our Atlantis. Real. No myth.
Swamped. Swallowed. Seen no more.
Houses, churches, schools, and roads
Deliberately drowned. Did no one care?
People cast out. Lives displaced.
Family birthrights vanished. Gone.
Done for need, for progress, growth.
For strangers in a far-flung place
The water sparkles blue and calm
Masking the death that lies below.
