    In 2007, I started working as a banquet server for the Warren Conference Inn, in Ashland, Massachusetts. On top of being the best job I ever had, the experience led me down a road of working a few thousand weddings in the past 13 years, in various states at various facilities and venues.

    When I started working at the Warren Conference Center, I was a freshman at Johnson & Wales University, studying culinary arts. During that first year, I gained some upperclassmen friends, one being my good friend Gabe. Gabe was working at the Warren Conference Inn, and long story short, he led myself, and one of my friends to being hired at the conference center with no interview AND we were able to live on property free for the entire summer. (Thank you, Gabe!)

    In the summer of 2007, my mother moved me up to Ashland, Massachusetts. I went on to spend three summers working and living there. We had a lot of fun, partying and living with friends in the absolute middle of nowhere, but we also worked hard. We worked double split shifts, sometimes overturning our dining room for two weddings in a day. It was such a great experience; I am forever thankful.

    I left the Warren Conference center after having this feeling and ambition to work at the Hyatt. As I was getting more into school, I decided I wanted to be a banquet chef, and I wanted to be a banquet chef for the popular hotel and resort company, Hyatt Hotels. After going through different avenues, I landed a job at the Hyatt Logan Airport in Boston as a banquet prep cook. I had now transitioned into the
