ABOUT THE AUTHOR
At age 85 I had published my first Tryist
as an author, A Cruise To Die For.
I referred to it as my Mini Novel
covering 50 pages that can be read going up the elevator, great during halftime and easily slid under the door of your neighbor when finished.
My current work Voyage to Cryon
, deals with Cryonics, the preservation of humans in ice chambers with the hope of resuscitation in the future. A scheduled Anti-Aging Cruise sponsored by the Cosmetic industry changes course to indoctrinate unsuspecting candidates to prospective reincarnation and lasting life.
My third book Tunnel Vision
not yet published may be wallet size.
What’s it like being 80
is somewhat biographical and a comical relief in accepting yourself being old
and left to the reader to edit his own experiences in this Octogenarian Society, with limited (By attrition) membership.
I have recently combined six books, A Cruise to Die For
, Tunnel
, Diner for Two
, Walk with the Son
, What’s it Like Being 80
and Cryon
into One volume entitled, The Books of Rathe.
I have just completed Hate in Those Eyes
and Octogenarian Guide to \Survival.
(Unedited)
At age 89 I still have a lust for life or whatever is left of it, so I keep on writing until the Great Author Above Closes His book on me.

DEDICATION
I dedicate this book to my loving daughter, Cynthia and my Grandson Gregory. The only Person that loves them more Than I do, is God.
They are the only inspiration for continued life on this earth.
HATE
IN THOSE EYES
Damian P. Benoit, age 15 who is for the first time starting to feel the restlessness, anxieties and uncertainties to welcome in the threshold or new beginning of his young life. He was a straight A
student and elevated to an advanced class segregated from the rest of the general students and the first time he felt not a sense of pride, but immediate isolation. He was devoid of any athletic ability and not blessed with a body that could incur normal activity and created a limp that he exhibited to explain his lack of communication and contribution to the programs offered at the school. He could not even establish a normal relationship with his classmates who participated in the advanced studies. His only interest seemed to center around antique guns his father kept and displayed in the game room encased in glass cabinets with a label in brass to identify the history of each gun. The lugar from Germany was a favorite and his father during WWII stole from a dead German soldier. His other favorite was the British Enfield with 303 caliber bullets that could dismember a body. Damian, (or sometimes called Deamon) concentrated on flowers and the wonderment of the birth of each seed and watched the evolution of life giving to this new creation from the heavens above. He singled out the orchid and almost childlike would caress the leaves and talked to them like his mother did with her roses.
He grew restless with his advanced class and was considered as a candidate to enter a college at an early stage which he considered but concerned about his inability to communicate with students especially 3 to 4
