Author

Zolile Ntshona

Zolile Ntshona worked as a researcher for two universities, and a public entity. His work focused on sustainable livelihoods and rural development. Passion for writing Christian books started in 2011, following an accident that resulted in Traumatic Brain Injury and severe head injury. Currently he is medically boarded. Although there is one word of God, he discovered dissension among the saints based on their understanding. Using his research capability he discovered that it is not uncommon for believers to focus on their personal preferences leading to dissension and misquoting the word of God. In 2014 he published a manuscript on factions between saints and its underpinning factors. In 2016 a book on misinterpretation of the law of God. Following his work, he discovered that some believers are deviating from the canon of Christianity and are transferring their allegiance to false gospel.

    Foreword

Zolile Ntshona is a humble man who is very passionate about well researched writing. All glory goes to God that he has chosen to use his passion and skills to serve in the Kingdom of God. He is meticulous and faithful in all that he sets his mind to do and has a great sense of humour.

This book is not his first publication, having already published two books. An ardent student of the word and a meticulous researcher, this book is definitely not going to be his last, with God’s help.

Zolile loves the Lord and always endeavors to share his revelation with as many people as he can.

There are many false religions and sects in the world, and many souls are being led astray through their deception. This book, Concocted Gospel, is a very in-depth exposition of the great deception the devil has plagued the world with, to get many people thinking they are on track only to find out they have believed a lie. The research is well done and is aimed at helping many in their genuine search for the gospel of Jesus Christ, which is cluttered by so many false options. It will also help many to navigate the maze to find the true gospel. In this book, Zolile has carefully outlined, discussed and given evidence to show many false sects, and thus making it much easier to find the truth.

I have worked with Zolile in the ministry and we have had many discussions on God’s word, so I have confidence in his deep understanding of the word of God.

With the help of the Holy Spirit, anyone who reads this book will have their eyes opened to see the deception that has infiltrated the kingdom of God’s dear Son Jesus Christ, in our world today. Remember we are in the last days, and Satan is striving to lead true believers astray. This work will help many readers and teachers of the good news to stay with the only truth. Be blessed by it.

John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Galatians 1:6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:

7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.

8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

9 As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

There are a number of people who become born-again; i.e. born of the Spirit by accepting the free gift of salvation by faith, through giving their lives to Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. In juxtaposition to the latter, there is also growth of false ministries and their façade, in which most believers unintentionally find themselves, not forgetting that some believers deliberately join or form false ministries. This book focuses on examples of false ministries and approaches to deal with them; crucial approaches to be learnt by believers to identify false ministries in ensuring that believers don’t find themselves transferring their faithfulness to a false gospel, the type of fruit false ministers present to people, their invasion of the church, and strategies to deal with false ministers. It focusses mostly on examples of false ministries started by people who once were born-again and/ or devoted servants of the Lord.

    Preface

False ministers are coming into the church to sow conflict. That is why this book, focusing on the dangers of transferring allegiance to a false gospel, cautions believers to always be vigilant and to refrain from being associated with them. In instances where conflict arises, believers are advised to use ways and means sourced from the word of God when railing against false ministers. False ministers, among other things, ‘serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple’ (Romans 16:18). Unfortunately, it is not uncommon for many believers to be ‘hypnotized’ by the scheming of false ministers.

For I am zealous for you with a godly eagerness and a divine jealousy, for I have betrothed you to one Husband, to present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. But [now] I am fearful, lest that even as the serpent beguiled Eve by his cunning, so your minds may be corrupted and seduced from wholehearted and sincere and pure devotion to Christ. For [you seem readily to endure it] if a man comes and preaches another Jesus than the One we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the [Spirit] you [once] received or a different gospel from the one you [then] received and welcomed; you tolerate [all that] well enough! (2 Corinthians 11:2-4 AMPC)

    The latter verses are divided into three distinct ‘passages’. The first one focuses on the objectives of a true minister (or ministry) of God;

verse 2 – objectives of a true minister

being zealous for believers with a godly enthusiasm

being zealous for believers with a divine jealousy

true ministers promised believers to one husband, the Lord Jesus Christ, so that they may present believers as a pure virgin to him

true ministers’ goal is to present believers to the Lord as a chaste virgin

verse 3 – a true minister compares what they are witnessing to what had happened before

What had happened before (the devil beguiling Eve by his cunning) makes a true minister of God fearful because of the high likelihood that it could be repeated

minds of believers might be corrupted or led astray from the simplicity, purity and sincerity to Christ

verse 4 – a true minister shares what they are witnessing, with which believers put up or tolerate easily

someone proclaiming another Jesus different from the one proclaimed by true ministers

believers receiving a different spirit than the one they received

believers receiving a different gospel than the one they accepted

    This book will:

enable believers to distance themselves from false ministers, some of whom side-tracked from the true gospel [Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment: (Acts 15:24)]

be a material for teaching believers about the agenda of false ministries

    be a key factor to be used by believers;

not to rely on information conveyed by false ministers

to withdraw themselves from false ministers

to mark them, avoid them, and refrain from transferring their faithfulness to them (or to their false gospel)

The book focusses mostly on examples of false ministries started by people who once were born-again and/ or devoted servant of the Lord, and is divided into four distinct parts:

    Part I: Judaizers

    Part II: Antinomians

Part III: Grapes from thorn bushes or figs from thistles (focusing on false prophets)

Part VI: Strategies to disassociate with false ministers

The book also shares a case study of what is happening currently. The case study is added for readers to be mindful and wary of the fact that nothing has changed.

    False Ministries (Sects)

    Introductory Remarks

But also [in those days] there arose false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among yourselves, who will subtly and stealthily introduce heretical doctrines (destructive heresies), even denying and disowning the Master Who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction. And many will follow their immoral ways and lascivious doings; because of them the true Way will be maligned and defamed. And in their covetousness (lust, greed) they will exploit you with false (cunning) arguments. From of old the sentence [of condemnation] for them has not been idle; their destruction (eternal misery) has not been asleep. (2 Peter 2:1-3 AMPC)

The objective of false ministers solely focuses on nurturing themselves by recruiting a crowd of mixed-up followers who can’t tell right from wrongi. They focus on gaining popular ovation and unproductive splendor for which they are greedy. Also, their focus is to accumulate riches for themselves for which they have an unquenchable desire.ii

Worst of all, they are ungodly and are denying the Lord Jesus Christ who saved them. For them, the vision of the Lord Jesus Christ is unattainable because they are ‘denying and disowning Him, bringing upon themselves swift destruction’.

Their strategy, to entice people to believe their concocted gospel, and their calculated and evil objectives are not underpinned by the guidance and teachings of the Holy Spirit. They turn the believers into commodities by selling them to Satan. Others think they are doing the Lord a good service although they are destroying believers; feeding them with fictitious gospel.

Whose possessors slay them, and hold themselves not guilty: and they that sell them say, Blessed be the

    Lord

; for I am rich: and their own shepherds pity them not. (Zechariah 11:5)

[For] Some people have secretly entered [sneaked in; infiltrated; wormed their way into] your group [2 Pet. 2:1]. Long ago the prophets wrote about these people who will be judged guilty [their condemnation was written about/ predetermined]. They are against God [ungodly] and have changed [perverted; distorted] the grace of our God [with its freedom from legalistic rules] into·a reason for sexual sin [debauchery; licentiousness; immorality]. They also refuse to accept [deny; have turned against] our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ. (Jude 4 EXB)

Their end point is something that no one should ever desire. Condemnation by the Lord is guaranteed, and hell is their final destination. The Lord will bring destruction upon them; a fate they deserve.

Apostle Paul warns believers to keep their eyes on those who cause dissension and hindrance contrary to the teaching they receive. What is important is the instruction he gives exempli gratia – to Mark Them, Avoid Them (Look out for Them) and how Paul describes them; they Serve Not Our Lord Jesus Christ, they Serve their Own Belly; By Good Words and Fair Speeches Deceive the Hearts of the Simple.

    Content

A sect is a group of people showing a critical or disrespectful attitude by separating from an established church.iii It is a diversion from the canon of Christianity. There are people who misquote the word of God, or incorrectly allude to something that is not in the word of God. Such people, sometimes, err because of lack of knowledge. These chapters on sects; Judaizers (noun or Judaize a verb), Antinomians (adjective and also a noun or Antinomianism a noun), grapes from thorn bushes or figs from thistles (from False Prophets, for example) and few examples of false ministers focus on false ministries or people who purposefully decide to add or remove certain key aspects of the word of God for their personal benefit – which is a different school of thought from what is in the word of God. Some, when corrected, do repent. Others, are pleased by their own deliberate addition and/ or omission of aspects of the word of God, and are incorrigible.

Example of Diverting from the canon of Christianity resulting in bad fruit

It is not uncommon for certain believers to share the word of God amiss. Other believers do the same intentionally; such as misquoting the canon (standard and authoritative list of Scriptures) of Christianityiv in favor of what suits them or doing exactly what the word of God cautions us not to do. Jezebel, (the one in Revelation 2), is one example.

Jezebel was an influential person in the church of Thyatira, in addition to which, she shared her fabricated version of the word of God. The Lord Jesus Christ intervened to stop Jezebel from carrying out her evil shenanigans.

Jezebel decided not to repent when the Lord Jesus Christ gave her space to repent. She showed unwillingness. She separated herself from what is in the word of God. It is clear that she was a key person in the church, who could not be excommunicated by the angel of the church (messenger) of Thyatira. The shortfalls and discrepancies of Thyatira emanate from the church allowing Jezebel to teach, to seduce servants of God to commit fornication and to eat things sacrificed unto idols (also see Table 7).

Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed
