INTRODUCTION TO DREAMS, NUMBERS, AND VISIONS

Dreams are something we all have, as individuals, adults, children as well as the entire Human race. However, the context and symbolism of the dream can sometimes leave the dreamer puzzled or even a bit confused. This often happens when the dreamer tries to reduce the dream to interpret its complexity with their natural mind. The problem some have with interpreting their own dream is that they digest the dream as a whole and interpret its meaning based off of emotions, feelings, actual life experiences, comparing and contrasting literal or natural symbols. Although dreaming is common, every dream contains an uncommon prophetic message for each particular dreamer in which God engraves the message on their hearts. It’s hidden message contains a problem encoded with a spiritual solution for each and every circumstance that will; guide, direct, keep, warn, foresee, foretell, hold, unlock and counsel.

Dream in Hebrew is Chalam (pronounced: Khaw-lam) and means to be made strong; healthy¹. The Greek Lexicon meaning of dream is Onar; ovap - meaning an uncertain derivation; to dream, in a dream². So now we see here a deeper compelling comparison between these words as it is translated from English to Hebrew and Greek. Now let’s take a look at the word derivation which means; obtaining or developing of something from a source or origin³.

Therefore, it is a true statement that dreams can make us healthy and strong only if we know the derivation of its original source of the actual dream. Which brings me to dream sources and its origination. Dreams can be sorted into three different categories which then can be broken down further into sub-categories in which determine the actual summary of the dream. The three categories of dreams are:

1. Prophetic Dreams

2. Flesh Dreams

3. Dreams from the enemy

These categories are sub-divided as follows:

Prophetic Dreams: Calling dreams; warning dreams.

Calling dreams: These dreams are usually filled with color, highly symbolic and the setting can be in unusual places.

Warning dreams: These dreams will show you of an event that is taking place or about to take place. This would be God exposing something that is often hidden, dangerous, or potentially dangerous to you or those around you. God gives us these types of dreams because we sometimes cannot see what Satan is planning with our natural eyes. These dreams assist us in revealing the hidden snares of Satan.

Dreams from the Enemy: Fear Dreams; dreams that are dark in nature.

The dreams from the enemy would be the dreams that do not line up with God’s word. If the enemy seeks to steal, kill and destroy, John 10:10, then the dream realm would be no exception. Since we cannot be ignorant of Satan’s devices, we must learn to arm ourselves. This means to cover ourselves with prayer and the blood of Jesus which protects us even when the enemy tries to hit us with his best shot!

Flesh dreams/Soulish, self-Conditioning: The majority of these dreams come straight from our own mind, and our own emotions. These dreams that denote the condition of our heart and dreamer itself. Did you know that eating certain food before sleeping or taking certain medications can affect your dream life and how well you transition through sleep cycles?

The dream realm aids us to go into deeper realms of the spirit. If you are a dreamer, then you should be overjoyed because you have an advantage over the enemy to learn
