    Chapter One: Life Before

    I am a girl named Skylar Jackson. People call me Sky for short. I am 13 years old and in Mrs. Hope's 8th grade class. I have a three-year-old sister named Grace and a 15-year-old brother named Max who is in the 10th Grade. I am allergic to bees. This is my cool diary where I would like to write everything that happens to me at my new school.

    Today was my first day at my new school, Norway High. Even though I was born and raised in Paris my family and I could speak English with a perfect American accent. We moved to Michigan three months ago.

    My best friend in Paris was Olivia.

    We were very close she was like a sister to me. Now we live in Kentwood, Michigan.

    In the car on my way to school, I wondered what Norway High, my new school, would be like. I was wearing a pink headband that my friend Olivia gave me for my birthday.

    I got excited when I remembered that I would meet a lot of people and make new friends at my new school. But I got nervous when I thought of having to start all over at making new friends.
