Introduction of the 5Cs

Nothing can beat a memorable resume to get your foot in the door. But what makes a resume memorable? Is it the colorful paper it’s printed on? Or maybe it’s the unique formatting of the document. Perhaps you have chosen to use a combination of a special design or customized formatting and printed on embellished resume paper. This adaptation of the traditional style of the resume will certainly gain the attention of the reader but these changes are only cosmetic and superficial. How do you grab the reader and make them want to read more? That is the one question all writers ask: How do I capture the reader’s attention and hold it? The same question begs to be asked regarding the resume with the inclusion of another more agonizing question. What are the recruiters and hiring managers looking for in a good resume? Hiring managers are all business people with a very full schedule. Reviewing resumes is a task some deem pleasant while others find it a chore.
