    Living Outrageous - Joseph M Foster

    Section I:

    Living Outrageous

    Defined!

    Introduction

    "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you;

    Before you were born I sanctified you;

    I ordained you a prophet to the nations."

    Jeremiah 1:5 (NKJV)

    Limitless concepts are presented in the Word of God. By far, one of the most fascinating concepts to me is that God knew me in my mother’s womb. This one verse should forever dispel the myth that you are a freak accident or are here by chance.

    Moreover, you were created for a unique purpose that you were specifically designed to fulfill. At an extremely early age, I came to the realization why I was created. The Jeremiah scripture came alive to me when I was thirteen years old. I was not only a child, and a child of God; I was also called to help declare The Good News.

    The revelation seemed massive back then, but now many years later, I am blessed to have discovered my purpose so early. The years of cultivating my craft have enabled me to share the nuggets contained within the pages of the Book of Books.

    When I first began writing Outrageous Vision I was asked repeatedly, How do you define outrageous vision?"

    What make it different from any other vision?

    I sat back in my chair and gave two responses. The first answer was a scholarly:

    The word ‘outrageous’ by definition in the New Oxford American Dictionary has both a positive and negative connotation to it. The negative definition is described as ‘excessive, shockingly bad or wildly exaggerated’ while the positive definition is described as ‘very bold, unusual, startling’.

    The next response was more descriptive:

    An ‘outrageous vision’ is one that is really too big for the balance currently displaying in your bank account; it is too big for you to accomplish alone; it is also something that creates more doubters than cheerleaders because it is the opposite of how the majority of the planet’s inhabitants lives their lives.

    If you are going to see your vision manifest itself in the Earth, you must get ready to live that very way—boldly, usually and in a way that can almost startle those around you.

    This devotion is a guide to jumpstart your new life and re-direct it as one that is lived outrageously! It will serve as a step-by-step guide to help you develop the building blocks you need to pursue and fulfill your vision and embrace a fulfilled life. A fulfilled life is a life, in which that you don’t just go through the motions, but you get up each day ready to confront the challenges and celebrate the victories, knowing that both are essential to produce your outrageous life!

    I am honored to be your Living Outrageous coach to help you achieve the life you were created to have—a life without limitations.

    Day 1:

    Marked for a Purpose

    Vision Verses

    Jeremiah 1:4-5

    4 Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying:

    5 "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you;

    Before you were born I sanctified you;

    I ordained you a prophet to the nations."

    Romans 8:28

    28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

    No matter how you got here, just know that God always had a plan for you to be here. In 2008, at least 37 percent of all births in every state in the U.S. were unplanned, but that is not the case with you and God. God had a plan for you before you were formed in your mother’s womb. When I was 13 years of age, I discovered that beyond being a Christian, I had been called to share the good news of the gospel of Christ! You may think, I wish I knew my purpose at 13! If you only knew the process that I had to endure, you may not wish so. Knowing my purpose at a young age didn’t allow me to escape hardship or trials. God actually used them to help shape the ministry and gifting that I have today. But it did let me know that I was marked and that my life had meaning.

    I don’t know where you are today in your life. I don’t know if you are at the crossroads of a career decision, in the middle of relationship drama, or the beginning of a health crisis, but what I know is that God has a plan for your life. He always did!

    The scripture in Jeremiah illustrates that before your mother’s egg and your father’s sperm collided, God was designing your life. He knew the mistakes you would make. He knew the victories you would possess! When God called Jonah to go and speak to the people of Nineveh, God knew Jonah wouldn’t want to go! He had a back-up plan to Jonah’s own resistance that would preserve Jonah’s life and use Jonah to save many others. For sure God had others who could have carried out the assignment,
