Community
I would say my number one favorite thing about being on a floating home is the community. I love my neighbors. I love the chit chat as I walk from the parking area to my house. People help each other out in all kinds of ways, like giving a hand with carrying something down the ramp or offering a grocery run if you’re home with a cold.
I recently helped my neighbor with a letter to the county. In exchange, he gave me grapes that he grows on his house. It’s a pleasure doing little things for others and it comes back to you. One of my neighbors frequently makes more than enough for dinner so they can take a plate to an elderly gentleman that lives here.
There is a group of people at our moorage that walk every morning and
