Many turn to the net in the hope of making the extra income that’s lacking in their regular jobs. Others have a dream of making it rich on the net virtually overnight. Others still want to see if they can do it. The sad fact is that most of these people will fail at internet marketing. Why? It’s not because they are stupid. It’s more about being a little gullible or ill-informed about how internet marketing works. There are so many fraudulent internet businesses out there that prey on the ignorant, the lazy, the desperate or just plain greedy. They make money off people that can least afford it, offering them riches beyond their wildest dreams. They use ploys like pictures of their lavish homes and expensive cars to entice you to buy their money-making program. Most of the time, it’s just a generic picture they have either taken of someone else’s house or an image they downloaded from the net.

Believe it or not, around 95% of internet marketers either make nothing at all or maybe make a few hundred dollars a year. Approximately 3% make a decent living out of it. That could mean a few thousand dollars per month, or it could mean an extra few hundred dollars a month while the top 2% or so are raking it in. However, in most cases, the top 2% are making money off those that can least afford it, the bottom 95%. The vast majority of that 2% are not selling goods or services but, they are selling ‘make money on the internet programs!
