Dedication

This book is dedicated to all those who have had a major influence on me. Like many, I have had my high and low points in life. This is a poetic diary of the highs and lows in my romances and desires in love, and the life lessons that I learned along the way. Love has brought me to the brink of suicide, but it has also blessed me with peace and comfort. My Grandmother, who loved me like only a grandmother could, raised me and prayed for me daily and religiously. Her faith kept me grounded and keeps me grounded to this day. My mother set the example for what I should look for in people.

She trained me and loved me when my world collapsed, and she is the reason that I am strong; she is the foundation for everything I stand for morally. My father taught me how to treat a woman and how to be a man. Hard work and humility are traits that are taught and not inherited, and my father embodied these qualities. My sisters have always been, and continue to be examples to me. I see in them everything I should strive to be. They have been an outstretched arm to me, even when I was not reaching in their direction. They are strong and independent women. Then there is my niece, whom I adore. Although I have missed much of her life, she remains a beacon of light in a dark, dark world. My wife, Jennifer, who saw pieces of me and from those pieces, built a new man, is the reason I believe in love again and the reason I continue to push myself. She is everything and has given me all of herself. All that I thought love was has been

redefined by her presence. She is my best friend, my lover, and my hope. My children, Jayce and Autumn, remind me constantly that every single inch is worth the fight. I have been blessed to have them and even more blessed to be their father. To you, my family, I want to let you know I love you, and it is because of you that I am here. This would not be possible without you.

Sleeping Beauty

I’m driving an old Toyota in the dark I pull to the side, put the car in park

The beats of my heart are pounding and racing, And next to me, God’s work of art

She is still in the night, till her eyes open She gazes at me, but no words are spoken She looks at me as if she wants me,

like a hungry tigress, crouched and hunting Then she pounces with kisses to my neck Under my shirt she gives me small pecks And under her dress her pussy is wet

She unfastens my belt and what happens next My tower of love becomes hers to annex

I’m grabbing her neck as her head is blowing hurricane winds, with sounds of me groaning She looks up at me as if she is choking

My fingers are reaching behind her back as she devours me like I am her snack Leaning the chair all the way back,

she gets on top and looks around

My member enters her, lost and found And she begins uttering blissful
