    I waited for winter to come. Waited for it to snow. Waited for dark. Then I waited until no one was watching.

    I slipped outside. I took off all my clothes. I rolled in the snow. I rubbed handfuls of snow all over myself. Then I walked in front of the window by the nurses’ station.

    The nurses came running outside. Oh, my God, Mr. Braddock, let’s get you back in where it’s warm.

    I stared stupidly at them. Dora? I called out.
