THE QUARRY EVENT By: Richard F. Garipoli, Jr.

The year is 2031. The planet is a mess. People are a mess. Wars, talks of wars, food shortages, political uprisings, neighborhood feuds, and families turning against each other. It was not a nice place to live anymore. Youth were of an entitlement culture, living off their families and life was about pleasing themselves, looking good on camera, and feeding their egos as they searched for more and more luxuries. Food shortages, fuel rationing, polluted water and no rain in the forecast. Countries were at war with each other and kingdoms were falling as new ones were being created. Politics of all nations was turning into a dictatorship and it seemed as if one man was taking over. The country
