While I find the story and plot intriguing from book 1 up to this book; especially the theme of rootlessness and loss for the main character and the rest. There's a bit of disappointmemt with the heavy grammatical errors throughout. So much so, it effects the flow of the novel. It makes it difficult to understand what a character is saying, or what the protagonist is thinking. It throws off the sequence of events in chapters 2-5. Misspelled or renamed character names confused me; Dmitri is Anton, Ricky is Enrique, Daniel not Danielle. ( If any of these are incorrect it further illustrates my point).

Then there were some off points with the content like when Theo is upset that Fiona doesn't want to just go with him only to the ball. He says, "call me old fashion" for wanting to be exclusive.... But earlier books Priscilla mentions that having multiple partners was "normal" for shifters and not judged in the same way as human culture. And We know this view isn't new since Leia had multiple partners hundreds of years prior. So how would exclusivity be considered "old fashion" for a Shifter? As if multiple partners was new. His statement Sounds like something a human would say.

There's also the point where Fiona is trying to figure out why the Slayers would want her, she is certain that the Slayers wouldn't want her power, paraphrasing: "why would the slayers want my power if it stops shifters from shifting, they won't get the skin..." But if she could block slayers from getting the magic skin isn't that a reason to target her? she has the power stop them from getting what they want. Common sense isn't common, as one of the characters said.

Overall it's an interesting read. I'm definitely moving on to the next book to find out what happens next!
