One of the reasons for unanswered prayers is because many Christians do not understand the power of bible-based decrees and the fact that the heavens and the earth can be commanded. This book teaches the fact that the affairs of the heavens, the earth and of nature can be directed with spirit-led words. Examples of biblical manifestations of words on nature are discussed. This book is not intended to teach the rudiments of prayer but to open the eyes of Christians to the dynamics of what they can make happen on earth and in the heavens when they speak to the creations of God. Special prayers that readers can pray are provided and they are encouraged to add more prayers to the list.

Lawrence Olakunle Kehinde

Professor LO Kehinde is an erudite retired Professor of Electronic and Electrical Engineering. He was ordained as a pastor by the late Pastor S. G. Elton who was a missionary to Nigeria based then in Ilesa, Osun State. He has operated in this capacity for almost four decades and has been able to mentor many pastors locally and internationally. His utmost desire is to impact emerging generations with the deep knowledge of God by maintaining the old landmarks of our faith in God through our Lord, Jesus Christ.He is happily married to Mrs. Tokunbo Alaba Kehinde, a University Administrator. They are blessed with children and grandchildren as well as spiritual children.

Foreword

The power of issuing decrees to effect the will of God on the earth is a dimension of faith and prayer that Bible saints and others in our past spiritual lineage understood greatly and practiced with great results. I once read of a time when George Mueller, the British minister of God, on a voyage to speak in America, knelt down to pray, demanding by faith that a thick fog that had covered their path on the Atlantic be cleared immediately. The fog had blocked all visibility thus preventing the continuation of their journey, and the captain of the ship was at a loss of what to do. Within a few minutes, the fog miraculously cleared and they were able to resume their journey. Nature responded in obedience to the decree of a man of faith.

This is also a truth the Bible presents clearly through the numerous stories of individuals who walked with God by faith in carrying out His will on earth in their generations. A survey of the Bible shows the fact plainly that Spirit-inspired words spoken by humans have impact on the heavens, the earth and all of nature. Many passages reveal this truth. A few examples include the creation story in Genesis, the patriarchs blessing their children with words, Moses parting the Red Sea and bringing water from the rock through divine decrees uttered in words, Joshua commanding the sun to stand still, Elijah calling fire from heaven or praying that it might rain after years of drought also initiated by decree; the Lord Jesus speaking the word of command to a fig tree, to winds and waves, fishes of the seas, loaves of bread, sick bodies, dead bodies, and even demonic spirits.

The sad fact, however, is that this truth is almost lost to our generation. While there are many books and sermons that touch on the mechanics of positive confessions, affirmations and making declarations, very few address the fundamental reason undergirding the power of words or dig as deep into the Scriptures with numerous examples, expounding comprehensively and systematically on the dominion of Spirit-inspired words spoken by humans over all of the created order. Whatsoever Was Created By Words Will Hear And Respond To Words does exactly this. It is a wonderful gap-filler to bring back to our consciousness this amazing aspect of walking with God and being His representative in our world by the disciplined use of our mouths to command the will of God into our lives and world,

I have known the author, Professor Kehinde, his wonderful wife and family for over two decades. I regard him and his wife as undoubtably part of the powerful spiritual influences that God has used to mold my life and ministry. Their passion for God, integrity, humility and enduring love for one another and their children and numerous spiritual children have always inspired me.

Professor Kehinde was also my favorite teacher in college when I studied Electronics Engineering as a younger man, and even now when he teaches spiritual truth, I observe the same thorough logic he employed during those lectures on electronics applied to his Bible teachings, but with the added anointing of the Holy Spirit.

So, over the years, I have heard him teach the Bible many times. His teachings are always powerful, thought provoking and impactful. However, I can confidently say that the teaching presented in this book is one of the most powerful I have heard him teach.

I first came across the truth so powerfully presented in this book when he taught on it during one of his speaking engagements at the church my wife, Debo and I pastor in Chicago —The CityLight Church. I remember that day clearly and recall the excitement of faith that hit my spirit and that of the congregation as he taught.

As only someone with a scientific mind could do, he presented an indisputable Scriptural case of how everything we see respond to words because they were originally created by words. What created you controls you, he said. Going from one verse of Scriptures to the other from the Old to the New Testament, using many examples, scientific experiments, and his own personal anecdotes, he proved this thesis so thoroughly that we were all magnificently inspired to start commanding every element of our lives to conform to the will of God. What he taught that day is what is presented and expounded even more exhaustively in this book.

As I read the manuscript of this book, it had an even greater effect. I experienced a supersized resurgence of how I felt when the sermon was delivered - the stirring of mountain-moving, world-changing faith. I could see how everything had ears to hear words: the atmosphere surrounding us, the earth, wind, sun, moon, stars. plants, stones, mountains, seas, animals, buildings, cities, nations, our minds, futures, clothes, vehicles, money, organs. angels, demons, even the very courts of heaven. Every one of them can hear and respond to words because they were created by words—and because of this they can be commanded to configure themselves in the most favorable way to assist in the perfection of God’s will for our lives and to defeat the purposes and antics of the enemy.

I was lost in the book and could not put it down until I finished it in one sitting. I prayed all the prayer words that interspersed the various sections of the book enabling the reader to immediately put into practice what they are learning, these prayers are really illuminating and powerful. I could literally see these inanimate things with my inner eyes rising up and responding to my words of commands. I have been convinced since then that nature is on my side and God’s creation are all working together for my good. The lines are falling for me in pleasant places.

I feel privileged to write this foreword but even more I am so excited to recommend this book to you. I am very confident that as you read it, you will be similarly inspired. Preface

That was a great message! is something I hear often after delivering a message at the pulpit. Most times than not, it comes from my wife Alaba, my chief cheerleader who would then always encourage me to write a book. I knew I could preach and teach, but write? I did not believe I had the flair to write. In any case, I was past seventy-two years of age. What could I possibly write about? Thankfully, I had almost forty years of messages and sermons on paper and word-processed forms. I thought about sharing them to Sermon Central, an online repository, so others could benefit from them. But then we experienced the Covid-19 lockdown. With very little to do at home, the temptation to write a book surfaced. I prayerfully considered it and got a go ahead.

Now the question was, what would I write about? With so many messages and sermons to choose from, it did not take long to choose. Afterall, it was one I had shared many times before in the United States of America and in Nigeria within the last two years. The title of the message is Whatsoever was created by words will hear and respond to words.

The message explains that anything God created by His word can hear word and can obey word. The heavens, the earth, and most forces of the universe can be spoken to and they can respond. I discovered that many people pray without realizing this fact. Hence, they find it difficult to decree and verbally take authority. It is possible to speak to mountains, sun, moon, plants etc. and expect a response. There are many of such occurrences in the Holy Bible. This knowledge engenders a more powerful prayer
