Chapter 1: Preface and Introduction

This might be the result of many years of experience by one of the editors that hales from a remote area of China. She was intensely taught by a great healer and teacher. This spiritualist has edited part of your guidebook as a personal gift to Americans that seek greater knowledge of Western + Eastern methods surrounding longevity, mental/physical health and building vital family [love] relationships.
This ‘guidebook on life’ is also a result of decades of intense introspection and research. We have used sources too numerous to mention within its pages, but being that most readers are intellectuals...all topics discussed can be found in one way or another through researching external sources.
A formal or systematic exposition of every single principle relating to subject matter found within this book is not the purpose of these writings. It is suggestive and consultative rather than exhaustive. It is also somewhat subjective with quite a bit of objective research to validate each element. To date, there has never been a comprehensive presentation of all elements needed for obtaining the Fountain of Youth. We highly recommend that you carefully follow this research to achieve vital longevity and incredible health.
Our sincere hope is to stimulate men and women to digest and conclude their own particular and appropriate way to move forward. By your thoughts –you, the reader, are the maker (or breaker) of yourself; those around you, and your own future. Your mind is the master artist of your destiny when it comes to longevity, healing and happiness. What you may have painted in your creative mind that has thus far led to ignorance, sickness and bad relationships; can now be repainted with a fresh canvas made of new thinking, enlightenment and an amazing long life.

Chapter 2: Power of Thoughts on Character
–To criticize and insult a man is to criticize and insult oneself. To injure or destroy your enemy is to injure and destroy yourself, but to love your adversary is to love both yourself and your creator.
Your thoughts and intentions become the composition of who you actually are. There is a growing body of research that is resoundingly clear that negative thoughts and emotions slowly put illness and disease into your system. A man (or woman) therefore, is literally what he (or she) thinks. Your character is thus the ongoing result of all of your collective thoughts.
Just as a seedling grows into a tree after it is watered and fed by soil and sunlight, so does your every act become a result of the seeds that your thoughts have planted. Good, generous and loving thoughts will harvest a life of good relationships, prosperity and longevity. Deliberate and hidden thoughts you have of criticism and wishing harm on others, have a great propensity of resulting in your own downfall. There are countless examples of this in many of the world’s holy books.
Your actions therefore are the flower blossoms of what your mind has derived. The joy (or pain) you experience is the net harvest, be it sweet or bitter, of your own mental gardening. If you do your own research, even science collaborates these ancient truths.
–We have created who we are because of how we think. When a man’s (woman’s) mind has thoughts of evil or hate, pain arrives at his (or her) doorstep ...just as sure as the soil brings forth flowers or weeds. If one strives for purity and honesty of thought, happiness and contentment will result ...just as sure as one casts a shadow in the sunlight.
Whether you are a scientist, or someone that is more inclined toward subjectivity, there is no denying the Law of Cause and Effect.
For example, you might say giving someone a delicious meal (cause) will result in them thanking you and being rather satisfied (effect). This is an absolute truth, with little to no deviations.
Likewise, you can easily surmise that an upright and heavenly character is not by luck or chance, but rather it is the natural result (effect) of the long-term practice of thinking kind and unselfish thoughts. Similarly, a nasty and debased personality, by the same Law of Cause and Effect, is the net result of continually dwelling upon rude, perverted and undignified thoughts.
It is not your circumstances, family genetic propensity, or plain bad luck that makes or unravels you. Both women and men make or break themselves; through the strong weapons of the very thoughts they manifest. In other words, by the carefully chosen thought, which you act upon; you are either ascending into heavenly perfection or descending into hell on earth. It’s either at [or between] these two extremes that your true self will be shown to others, or to your own self ...as you ponder your good or bad situation in silence.
Being that a thinking person is therefore the molder and shaper of his (or her) ongoing conditions and character, then it is a well-drawn conclusion that you, and you alone are the shaper of your future and destiny.
You see, there are infinite studies that point to humans as beings of love, power and great intelligence...all because of how one formulates his or her thoughts. If you are thus the Lord of your own mind and not someone else’s, then you hold the key to transforming yourself into who and what you deeply think upon.
Because of faulty learning, bad teachers, and malevolent thoughts; you may find yourself as a product of your own degradation. Many people do, and then go around playing the blame game. First you may point the finger at your parents, then to your genetics, or even to a significant other, ...all of these actions are purely foolish and frivolous. If you are truly the powerful and intelligent creature you were created to be, regardless of which God you believe or disbelieve in...you will eventually conclude there is really no one to blame but yourself; and no event to blame; other than those your powerful brain has created.
There is a way out, though it be slow and continuous, but it only arises if you deeply care about changing. When you diligently reflect upon your condition, and wholeheartedly search for ways to re-direct your thinking, the Universe begins to provide answers. One of the answers may simply be that you read this book. Remember to always mentally dwell upon ways to love and serve others instead of take advantage of them or the system.
Greed drives many to scheme ways to earn more, and although you may end up with more money in the short run, it will mysteriously start to dissipate because of how you obtained it.
Conversely, love of mankind and a deep desire to live a life of generosity, has a mysterious way of reversing the cycle. One way is to continuously fashion your thoughts and energies on these: Discovering ways you can help someone learn, complimenting a stranger, giving a few dollars to the poor, or even the proverbial love thy neighbor as thyself.
There is an important life-cycle of personality opposites that is ancient truth. Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to violence, violence leads to injury, and injury leads to death. On the opposite side of this dark life cycle is the angelic way. Therefore, we say confidence leads to contentment and positive action, contentment leads to love, love leads to kindness, kindness to healing, and healing leads to health + longevity.
Only by careful research and hard ‘digging’ work does a miner find precious metals or diamonds buried below. Likewise, you can discover the ancient truths that will turn your life around by digging deep into the mine of your soul.
As you know, nothing valuable and worthwhile is easy. You must be very diligent by being honest with yourself about your current situation. Always ask yourself, how could I have said that (or done that) differently so that I made the other person feel good about themself.
Only by ceaselessly practicing the art of love, kindness, and servitude can a great thinker enter the ‘Temple of Inner Wisdom and Virtue.’ Once inside the doors though, the windows of heaven will begin reigning down gifts that you have always deeply desired.
Chapter 3: How Thoughts Move Outcomes
Many people are born into very tough circumstances. From a youth, they may encounter such horror like seeing one of their parents beaten or fall into crippling alcoholism. For the weak of mind, they continue their adult life mimicking these very unfortunate outcomes, only resulting in their personal demise and eventual self-destruction. This cycle of thinking must be reversed in order to achieve a rich and full life, rather than moral poverty and a life cut short by vices.
