About this ebook

This is the modified, translated version of Porque La Piña ’Tá Agria. The title of this book is a common saying among Dominicans. It translates to literally mean "the pineapple is sour." Figuratively, though, it means things are not going so well, typically financially. I am publishing this book because I have always wanted to be a published author. However, I am selling it because financially, things are not going so well. As stated in my foreword, "here rest my fears, my troubles, my teenage infatuations, and my loves."

    Foreword

I prayed for many years in hopes of finding the right inspiration and guidance to write my first book.  I have found myself with too many stories to tell, yet I am determined to be a published author before the age of 18.  Here rest my fears, my troubles, my teenage infatuations, and my loves.  I know that upon publishing my first work, I will feel so liberated that I will be anxious to write another.  My first poem, Honey Brown, was written on a ripped sheet of loose leaf in middle school on February 14, 2013 when I was 12-years-old.  I can honestly say that almost five years later, I have come so
