Humble Beginnings
My first business was in the service industry which eventually led to a desire that my next business venture involve sales. To be successful I would need to be good at building relationships, have an excellent product, and create a solid business plan.
I have always been an introspective loaner type and not particularly outgoing but if I am enthused about something I can communicate that enthusiasm to anyone.
Opportunity for a good product arrived when a leak in an underground sewer pipe and the repair left a hole in our front yard the size of a small swimming pool. To give us hope and a few ideas, a friend invited me to attend a floral landscaping competition held by the city parks and recreation department where he worked. I was amazed at the magnificent display of flowers and awed by the work and dedication it took to create these beautiful city gardens. I was hooked! I learned as much
