Seedling success

I confess to being one of those gardeners who sows a seed and then comes back to check on it half an hour later. Did it sprout yet? Logically, I know that it did not, but the excited and child-like gardener in me is desperate to see those first little shoots curling up from the soil’s surface, especially this time of year.
