About this ebook

This is an index for my Prequel Stories series. History tells of an age when the world knew true calm. It was ruled by a good True King Ellor, and dragons filled the skies with all their colourful wonder. But darkness blossomed and flourished.
An evil wizard known as Auk Tria Yus crafted three magical blades and brought on the world’s first Darkening that burned the skies and spawned legions of dark wizard armies that preyed on the innocent.
Grio.dyness rose to power with his barbarian clan known as the Wolf. His barbarians met True King Ellor’s armies on the wasteland around what would later be his castle stronghold.
There are other legends of those times: a man who could summon gold and built a city of wealth. There’s the tale of the fall of Sheava, a town and castle that equalled the True King’s castle.
This index documents the behind the scenes work involved in bringing those tales and times to life!

    Chapter One

    The Series

This prequel series was written after I completed the first draft of Novel 9. There is a grander series of trilogies, four or five book series, two book series, and single books. Each smaller series is a different part in the greater series’ timeline. That greater series, 23 novels in the making, follows the world and its different hero sets along as they all progress.

Back to the direct point, this series of prequel stories was written after I’d finished Novel 9 of that greater, overriding series of 23. I decided that I needed to cement what had happened originally in the past before I could truly move forward.

How did the Watcher, Auk Tria Yus, create the three magical swords? Who really was Senglene, the Lord of Dashtall?

Why had no one claimed the three swords before the Hawk, Keiritte Alo, and Osseeth? The swords had been crafted a good two centuries previous, but that was the first time all three had been claimed at the same time?

The Hunter claims to have killed all the previous heirs to the True throne ages past when he killed the True King Ellor, Queen, and two babes, but then, how could the royal line have continued? How could there be royal blood in Oenar for the Hunter to still be hunting him?

These prequel stories tell those tales. Stories one through six are based during the same four and half months when key deciding events transpired for this world and its people.

The three enchanted swords Goelld’n-Auk, Bvornt’wenn, and Di’Jennai were crafted. The last True King Ellor lost his throne to Grio.dyness, lead barbarian of the Wolf Clan. The world fell into its first Darkening, a time when dark magic and chaos ruled with no law to protect the weak from man, magic, or creature.

Further, the Castle of Sheava fell and became the ghost city the Hawk and his party found on their search for The Book. Dash Melle fell into ruin, attacked by a large dragon that later fossilized into the mountain range that came to be known as the Dragon’s Spine. Senglene took his place, frozen in history until three people would much later find him to receive his final gifts of magic. And the world gained a soul.

All in the same four and a half months.

    That’s a lot.

To ease the challenge of managing all those details, to avoid the
