      Introduction

      This volume contains four chapters. The first chapter contains poems that I addressed directly to my wife. The second chapter contains poems written at my wife’s request. They were generally used to make homemade Christmas cards or Easter cards or for other special occasions, such as birthdays. The third chapter contains other poems that I have written in recent years. The fourth chapter contains a few joke poems. Admittedly, the last two chapters have nothing to do with my dream girl. Nevertheless, all my literary work is dedicated to her, so their inclusion is not completely out of place.

      New in this edition are all the joke poems plus other poems

      Chapter I: To My Beloved

      My Faithful Wife (A Sonnet)

      On cyber wings we nullified the miles

      That tried to keep your tender heart from mine.

      Your lovely cyber image made me pine.

      You shook my soul with loving, winsome wiles.

      Though I was dwelling by the distant Rhine,

      Far from the Oriental land you grace,

      We vowed to join our hearts in love’s embrace
