First I want to thank You for Your interest in this e-book "How to Buy a Bass Boat" and Congratulations for taking a positive step towards becoming a bass fisherman or lady. The intent of this book is to provide You the necessary information to make an informed decision on the size, type and motor needed for Your particular needs.
This e-book is intended to give You as much of the needed information available to make a very educated decision in buying Your bass boat.
Preface
OK You have fished with some of Your buddies for a few years using their boats and fishing alone in ponds around Your area. Now You have decided that You need Your own boat to be able to fish the way You want to.
It has been some time while You have been thinking about this and now it is winter and the boat shows are starting so You go to one.
You and Your wife walk in and You are immediately met with rows and rows of boats in every color, shape, size and configuration. Your wife immediately tells You to look at the pink boat, it is really cute. Upon closer examination, it turns out the pink boat is a ski boat and not a fishing boat. You say I am looking for a fishing boat not a ski boat.
Well You just committed the cardinal sin by not agreeing with her. She automatically goes in to sulk mode.
Now You have a little input as to the type of boat You are looking for – You must be able to fish out of it and Your wife must be able to ski behind it. Do they make such a boat? Of course the answer is YES and it is known as a Fish and Ski model. That is just one question You should have answered before You went to the show.
Now You start down another row filled with big, fancy, all the bells and whistles bass boats. The first thing You notice is big motors up to 300HP and how big the boats are. The next thing You notice is the prices on these boats that, supposedly, are on sale for the boat show only. These boats cost as much as my house or almost as much! Can I afford something like that?
I could go on and on but You get the idea that if You had answered a few questions before going to the boat show You could have saved a lot of surprises and possibly a chewing out by Your wife.
This e-book will try to provide You with the questions to be answered before You start looking for that boat You want.
Biography / Credentials
What gives me the right to offer or teach You anything about becoming a boater? Here is a brief bio of my career as a Professional Bass Fisherman.

Holliday began his competitive fishing career in Fort Smith, Arkansas in the mid-1960’s with the Fort Smith Bass Club. At that time, Bill Norman was the best angler in the club and spending a lot of time working with REBEL Manufacturing to get it off the ground. Bill and I became very good friends and fishing partners. During this period Bill and I became the fishermen to beat in the bass club by consistently finishing in the club Top 6 and going to the State Federation Tournament for several years.
During this period, I fished from a 16 foot Ouachita fiberglass Tri Hull bass boat with a 25HP Evinrude motor.
Bill introduced me to Bill Dance one weekend and allowed me to show Bill Dance all the good fishing
