HEADING NORTH

N two days time we start the long drive north from Brisbane to the Banyan Farm on the Daly River. Its about 3500 kilometres in total. Our mission is to fish the Barra Nationals and then the Barra Classic, two iconic fishing tournaments held each year on the Daly River. I’ve fished one or both of these tournaments over a period of more than 30 years and it has become an annual pilgrimage. I feel a part of the place, and in total I’ve spent over a year of my life fishing on the Daly River. It is a very special
