About this ebook
Bridget’s life begins to spiral out of control. Feeling like she’s lost everything, including herself along the way, she finds comfort in a new friend. When an unexpected deal turns into something more, she begins to wonder if this is what she really wants.
The stresses of Lachlan’s job starts to become overwhelming but the one person he never thought would understand is the only thing keeping him stable. He confides in her and tells her things he would never tell another soul. The unusual part is that she is completely accepting of him and his lifestyle. That is, until she sees it with her own eyes.
Will Bridget ever be able to handle the fact that Lachlan isn’t just a paper pusher, but an actual trigger man? Their want for one another is Unrestrainable. Will the reality of life with an executioner prove to be too much or will their desire prevail despite all odds?

Dedication
While writing this book I've been through a lot. My whole life has changed because of you. You've helped with this book and in my life more than I think you even realize.
You've been my secret muse while silently helping me with just a shoulder to cry on some days. Deep down I felt trapped in a lot of ways and you have helped me break free of those chains, in more ways than I can ever express, you have been there helping me, pushing me, helping get out of a situation I didn't even realize was as bad as it was.
You've treated me not just like a princess but like a queen. From the day you called me your Belle you've been my true Beast.
One
Bridget
Finishing at the dojo I look around to find my car covered with a pile of snow. I know I need to allow it to warm up as I brush it clean. It looks like a tonne had fallen while I was in class. I turn the ignition and nothing.
Shit.
I groan to myself. I turn the ignition again and nothing still. The battery died... again! I place my head on the steering wheel and exhale heavily. God this car is a piece of crap!
I reach into my backpack trying to locate my cell phone. Nothing, I was never good at keeping track of that stupid thing! I grab my backpack pushing my door open again. I do my jacket up nice and snug as I head to the apartment. I could run it but it's awfully cold out and my ribs still haven't healed from my fight the other night.
I begin to rummage through my purse for my iPod to blare some music in my ears. When I look up there's a figure standing off in the distance watching me. My gut begins to churn that he isn't taking his eyes off me. What?
I finally snap at him.
A low chuckle comes from his lips as he moves forward into the light. You haven't changed one bit.
My ex, Alan, says, as he moves closer to me. Still a hard ass.
What are you doing here?
I snap at him, irritated.
I missed you and wanted to see you.
He admits.
Well, I broke up with you.
I reply as I begin to head for the road.
Bridget! Come on, you look like you could use a ride.
He suggests.
I'll be fine.
I reply.
I always hated you walking alone.
He insists.
I could take half the wannabe punks out here.
I wallow as I try to move quickly away from him.
He chuckles low again. I know you think you can.
he says, then grabs my wrist and I slip on the snow as he forces me to turn and look at him. You never could say no to me.
He states, close to my face.
Don't.
I whisper. He was right though, I never could stand up or say no to him. Every time he broke my heart he would show back up after a few weeks; normally with other women, then I would take him back.
Don't what?
He asks with that sexy grin that makes butterflies form in my tummy.
Bridget!
I hear my name called in the distance and I glance over to see Lachlan standing there. He flicks his cigarette as he watches us closely. You ok?
He asks simply.
She's fine buddy.
Alan states harshly.
I think I'll wait till Bridget answers me.
Lachlan replies calmly.
Actually, no I'm not. My car won't start again, can you drive me home?
I step back I step back as I look over at Lachlan and I can see the fire in Alan's eyes as he watches me.
Bridget I think we need to talk.
Alan grits his teeth.
No, I need to go home.
I state matter-of-factly. Lachlan begins to move closer to us. Seeing him next to Alan, I never realized how big he was. He's at least a head and shoulder taller than Alan, however, more of a slimmer build. Then again Alan spends hours at the gym when he's not working. Lachlan... honestly I don't know much about him.
Please, I will call you later.
I state and he finally releases my wrist. I walk over to Lachlan's car and climb into the passenger side. Alan doesn't take his eyes off me. Lachlan arrives at the driver side and closes the door with a thud that causes me to jump.
It's not long after that we are heading down the road when he glances over at me. I've never seen you jump before.
He states.
Huh?
I furrow my brow glancing up at him. God, he's gorgeous. His eyes are so intense, his jaw is covered with day-old stubble and his hair, I never saw hair so dark before; it’s shaggy and I want to run my hands through it right now.
When he finally speaks it makes me jump again. You have never jumped from a simple noise... or my voice?
He grins glancing at me.
Oh, I have a lot on my mind right now.
I explain expecting him to ask what but he simply nods his head and continues driving. Why were you at the dojo?
I ask.
I wasn't sure if Ivy was there. She's not at the apartment and Marcus asked me to check up on her.
Why?
I ask.
Because.
He simply states. It drives me nuts how secretive and laid back he is. The rest of the car ride is silent but as we pull up to the door of the apartment I turn to Lachlan.
Thank you.
I state, simply. He gives me a slight nod as I go to push the door open to his car. Suddenly his warm hand lands on my wrist and I look back at him.
Uh...
He stares at me as my heart begins to bang against my ribcage.
Yes?
I whisper as my breathing accelerates.
Uh... Never mind.
He coughs as he lets go of my arm all I feel is sadness come over me.
Do you want to come upstairs for a beer? Check to see if Ivy is home?
I ask.
His lips turn into a small grin. Yeah, I'll meet you up there.
He states. I step out of the car and head towards the door as he goes to park the car. My heart is pounding and my breathing erratic. God please Ivy don't be home, I need to get laid! Is the only thought rushing through my head at this point.
Walking up the stairwell I make it to my floor and head for the door. As I open the door I hear giggling in the distance and my heart falls into my stomach. 'Dammit!'
Hey!
Ivy says, sitting on the couch curled up with Marcus and a glass of red wine.
Hey, How's everything?
I ask and she holds her hand up wiggling her ring finger. The massive diamond sparkles in the light as her face lights up even more. OH MY GOD!
I squeal running over to sit beside her on the couch. She places her hand in mine as I look down at it.
He just asked.
She beams. Totally took me off guard.
It's beautiful and I'm so happy for you two!
I say pulling her into a hug.
