I love reading. I always love to stick my nose in a book, and hide until I finish. That's when I decided to write. I love making up stories, and trying to figure out what is going to happen. I use my free time to write. It is not much, but I will take what I can get.

Kloe
I’m in this hospital room with the same guy and the same family. I know I have never seen them before, but I feel like they are part of me. I know the strange guy is dead because he is lying there under a red blanket, his hands are folded over his chest, his eyes are closed, and his chest is not rising. His normal surfer tan is turning pale and his dark blond hair was a mess. I just stand there and look at him feeling like a piece of my soul has been ripped out of me. The family tries to console me. I can’t hear their words; I just see their lips moving. This weirdest thing is this total stranger has torn my soul in half and I have no idea why. Before I can even think about piecing this puzzle together, I wake up.
When I sit up in my bed, I have tears streaming down my face and my bed is in shambles. I can tell something in me is missing. I hate feeling that way. I want to go back to sleep and finish the dream, but my mind is swirling and I cannot fall back to sleep. My cell ringing I Need You Now
makes me jump out of my skin. I know by the ring tone, it is my best friend/ roommate Ambre. We just graduated high school two weeks ago, but moving out and having independence was a must do. So that same night we moved in to our very own house. We live in a nice neighborhood on the north side of Charleston, South Carolina.
Ambre do you know what time it is?
I moaned into the phone. My voice was thick with sleep and unshed tears. What’s wrong with you? It’s eight in the morning. We need to finish shopping for the house today. I am ready to be settled.
She huffed at me.
When she was upset she would speed talk. It drove me crazy, but today I was grateful for the distraction. Alright
I sighed, I’ll be ready in an hour.
I did not give her a second to respond, I just hung up on her. I jumped up and went to the bathroom to take a shower. I loved having my own bathroom. I have a separate shower and tub. I started painting the walls light purple and an ice blue. I am not fond on blue but it just somehow feels right to have it there. I have so much counter space that my stuff is not cluttered and that is a step up. When I was living with my parents I had NO space, and I hated it. That’s why I am now living with my BFF.
After I am out of the shower I hear Ambre rummaging around in the kitchen. She can be so momish sometimes but that is why I love her so much. We have been stuck together like glue since kindergarten. She had an accident and some little boy was making fun of her and I just punched him. I did get in trouble but since then I have been the protector and she has balanced out the rest.
Come on Kloe you need to eat.
She yells at me. I just roll my eyes and smile. I’m coming, I am almost done here.
I tell her. Five minutes and I will make you shop all day. I swear.
She yells but you can hear the smile in her voice. I get ready and head to the kitchen. It’s a modest kitchen, nothing special. I am not a kitchen fan since I can’t cook. I am just happy with a dishwasher. I ate my breakfast as quick as I could to get this shopping day over with. I know we need the stuff, but I hate spending all day going through the stores.
You ready to go?
Ambre asked. As ready as I will ever be. Let’s just make it quick, Ok?
I made it as a question because I know how Ambre is in the stores. Sure Kloe. You got a hot date or what?
she was being sarcastic now. I just take it with a grain of salt. She is just very excited. So I cut her some slack. OK let’s do this.
I breathe. We drive to the first home store we can find to start our shopping day. I just want to get it over with. We spend what seems like forever going through all the isles. Some we go through more than once. Ambre ask questions like ‘do you like this’ and ‘You think this will go with the sofa?’ I just do the head bob the whole time. Finally we get to the checkout (three buggies in tow) and start loading stuff on the belt. I am so focused on loading and getting out of there I barely notice when Ambre starts to elbow me. What!
I snap. She looks at me and smiles. Look at our checker, he is smoking hot!!!
She says that in a very loud whisper. I raise my eyes up, trying to look like I’m not looking. It’s not working
