    I lived in darkness.

I was waiting to be seen when the receptionist called. She said. Mr. Daye, The doctor will see you now. I walked in the office. And asked. Doc, Will I ever see again? He opened my eyes, shined his light, and said. You have been coming here for quite a while now, but I still can’t seem to figure out why you’re unable to see, Medically there is nothing wrong with your eyes, maybe it’s something else? What are you telling me? I’m saying that your blindness could be caused by some kind of trauma, sometimes it could trick the brain into believing that what you are experiencing is real? Are you calling me crazy? No, I’m just saying that sometimes we tend to not face reality and the body tends to respond according to those actions, I think the trauma you are experiencing can cause you to lose sight. You think trauma caused this? It’s possible. After, I left his office I went home but it was still hard to tell the difference between day and night because to me it was all the same. Each day I lay in bed thinking about how I ended up here, not just blind but alone with no hope of ever seeing again. Some called it a blessing because I survive the wreck but I saw no hope or miracles, only darkness. Not only did I lose my sight but I lost my family as well. Their faces was the last thing I seen before my sight was taken away. I could still hear the sound of my wife’s voice. We were arguing just before she took our child and left. The wreck of my marriage caused me to live in darkness. That was the only way I could keep them here.
