    Prologue

1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God …  14And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.   - St John 1

In the beginning was the Word, these are the words recorded in the gospel of St John, first chapter. In case we might err into believing that there is some inherent power in our own words, John made clear that the Word became flesh and dwell among us. It was he that John testified of, Jesus, who is the Word, and He is the true and living God.

John’s account of the beautiful and elliptical life of the Savior, which was prophesied long before his arrival as the Lamb that would be offered for the sins of mankind, did not end in his death. No, Christians bear testimony to his very existence today. So while other religions go back to when their prophets were alive in order to gleam historical reference of how they should live now, the Christian looks forward. We pay attention to the present and an enormous amount of time is invested into making the future hopeful. We can do this because we serve the one who was in the beginning and who still is. The God who is alive and who will forever live. The one who knew us while we were in our mother’s belly, in our own minute beginning, and who saw all of our experiences ahead of time and who made a decision to save us from our own self destruction.

Unfortunately, like many people, Jesus was not real to me. That was until particular incidences occurred in my life. These are my testimonies of how the Living Word came to Life for me.

    It Will Be Well

    Woman sitting resting your knee

On the pavement against a tree

Her soul frightened, her heart filled with worry

As her mind went about with fruitless scurry

And though the gates to her are closed

    Protecting her from poisoned woes

The walls high and stoned in

Fencing out the noise of angry whims

And though the moat around her carries a violent river

A stir in it that could make a man quiver

And the draw bridge is guarded by her knights

The sky is still black like a starless night.

Yes, her Fortress is strong and mighty

Yet her back is broad, still carrying the heavy

But the Spirit still hovers above that great city

Waiting to descend on her completely

A soft voice, whispering notes of peace

Anticipating that her heart will pause and her mind will be eased

    It will be well

My child it will be well

    A Child is Born

    Chapter 1

My pregnancy with Noah was one of the most peaceful times
