Over the rain bow
Climbing upstairs with a washing basket, I reached the nursery.
The smell of fresh paint in the air.
‘That’s the last of his washing done,’ I said to my partner Nathan, 28, as I was folding up the last of the baby sleepsuits.

Earlier when I was just16 weeks pregnant, we privately found out the gender of our little one.
I was super excited, rubbing my tummy and feeling a reciprocated kick, whilst in the waiting room.
‘You’re having a baby boy,’ the sonographer smiled.
As I looked up at the screen, my heart filled with joy as I knew our eldest Zachary, two, would be super excited about being a big brother.
Nathan looked at me in awe.
This moment of pure joy soon came to a worrying end.
