The Definition of Me - Christian Clayborne

    The Definition of Me

    Prologue

To easily deceive others while writing, one must know how to manipulate the English language.

Knowing how to twist another author's words is a difficult task, knowing how to twist one's own words can be even more complex. I say this not to bring doubt, or to set a map. I say this to propose to you an idea. One can never know the true intentions behind an author’s writings. The one who says they do is, a liar.

The words purchased and sold are not all black and white; and the simplest of words may end up being the most difficult to understand. To read is to experience the pains, rewards, feelings, and thoughts of those who were, are, and are to come. To accurately define one's character is to know the thoughts, feelings, struggles, and imaginations of the one whom you are defining. So a warning to you:

Judge not the Man who created the skies, land, seas, and creatures, nor the creations themselves. Judge not the Man who writes your name in that Great Book. Fear the one who controls the wind, seas, earth, and time for He has the final judgement. Respect the blank space between men and The Great Power. For that heavenly power is the one who determines your fate.

    Prologue: In Poetry Form (Translucent)

    My mind on display

    For you to see

    Straight through me

Though the view may be hazy.

    Translucent.

    Not crystal clear

    Not here

Whilst I expose all my fears dear

    I open up to you

The one who opens up the book, and who

Are hopefully touched by my words too

And maybe discover things you never knew

    About me and you

Hopefully this book offers something new

    For you.

    The First Siren Sister

    Come.

Don't you want to help me?

Don't you want to know my secrets?

    Many have tried

    To help me,

    But they were weak.

    You're different than those people

    Only you can truly help

    You're the one I trust

    You know the true me

    I'm not evil

    I’m just a misunderstood girl.

Only you can set me free!

    Only you can help me

    Only you can save me

    Only you can...

It is funny what people will believe

    In times of flattery.

    It is amazing

How many crash on my island's shore

It has become a loathsome sport

    And yet a marvelous competition

    To be continued.

    Seeking Cyrus

    I
