    Evangelism

    The word evangelism derives from the Greek word euangelion, which denotes good news or gospel, and its verb euangelizō which means, to proclaim the glad tidings/the gospel. Hence, evangelism is the communicating of the gospel (the good news) of Jesus Christ to an individual (personal) or group of individuals (mass).

    Knowing its etymology will greatly help us explore the three most important evangelistic movements in the Bible. But failure to study the Bible systematically, would veil our spiritual eyes from noticing that evangelism has not started with Jesus. It was a divine initiative of the Father, in which we have been invited to participate.
