A New Journey Begins

S he was a young and beautiful woman who had a lot going on in her life. Christina Cordova is a high-profile attorney and also CEO for Op Center Inc. in Waycross, GA. After graduating from Jackson High she attended the University of Georgia where she majored in law and business management. It was in College that she met Michael D. Thompson a pretty boy superstar baseball player. Despite the fact that several women were chasing him, Michael chose Christina. They both graduated and made plans to get married. After moving in with each other Michael was drafted by the Chicago White Sox while Christina put her career on hold just to support him. They got married and moved to Chicago where life was good for the time being. There was only one person that would come up to see Michael often, Rodger Davidson who played on the same team as him in college. Rodger wasn’t drafted but since he and Michael were best friends he stayed in touch.

After four seasons Michael had an ACL and DCL tear. This was a career ending injury that caused the team to release him, but Michael took the termination well. Chicago was a fine place but after another three years of ups and downs, and Christina for several years trying to get pregnant and nothing happening they moved back to Georgia. In the process, Michael had not just one but two secrets he was keeping. One was that they were broke. Michael had made some offshore investments which was nothing but a scam and he didn’t have the nerve to tell her! Michael was well known back home and landed a job as a post master over a crew of thirty. He and Christina brought a nice four bedroom home which Michael took out a loan at the bank to buy. Christina had been thinking about getting back into law, so she told Michael that she could take the bar exam and seek work. Since Rodger and he were hanging out more, she felt she could keep herself busy with something as well. He didn’t want her to find out what was going on, so he stated, That is a really good idea. She refreshed herself by studying and passing the bar and landed a job at Op Center Inc., as an assistant to the CEO Ms. Gloria White who was teaching her everything she knew. She pushed Christina to take up corporate law because that is where the big money is, and it is also where you meet the extremely wealthy. In corporate law, the possibilities are endless.

Gloria was fascinated by Christina’s exquisite beauty, and proceeded to make several advances toward her. Christina declined interests and decided to keep things professional. Gloria respected her wishes and grew to love her like she was the daughter she never had and exposed her to very powerful people on both sides.

Gloria was a very old wise woman who had years of experience on the top. She had been married three times and it was with her third husband James Walker that she learned that she could not have children. She had been to a private doctor who told her, her condition would not stop her from having children, but that was a lie. She groomed Christina to be her own woman and helped her move up the top of the chain. They took trips several which caused them to be gone weeks from home. The only reason Michael didn’t complain was because he had problems himself. Michael had started to engage in drugs and alcohol. With the problems he was dealing with it began to take a toll on him. Michael was up to his neck in trouble and was being played at the same time!

Watch Your Back

J ack Rose was an employee at the post office and also a con man. Jack and his girlfriend Jessica had this scam going on, but they were in over their heads this time when Jack intercepted a package that had drugs and money in it. They were unaware the FBI had their office under surveillance for the last two years and was building up evidence against a group of people who also were cold killers and was hired to kill Michael. Michael nerves were being pushed and he lost over sixty pounds. Michael was still a very attractive man with medium length blond hair and a slender toned physique.

It was a Monday the first week of April when two men came to the post office looking for the package they sent there, which Jack and Jessica had taken. Michael called in the shipping and receiving clerk Maria who had been working there for twelve years never once been called to the head office about a missing package. She was not expecting to be asked to find anything let alone a package that was there a week ago and then went missing. She told Michael that she would go through the surveillance tape to see if anyone else there might have placed it somewhere in the building and he agreed. When Jessica heard what was about to go down she called to inform Jack who was out on route delivering mail. He told Jessica to get the package they had fixed up and put it where it could be found, and he would be there soon. Jessica went and got the package that she and Jack had made in place of the one they took and brought it to Michael’s office placing it with the other packages on the floor in the corner. She then went to Maria office like she was there looking for a form. Maria, I need a return form. Jessica said. Not now Jessica, I need to find this missing package. What package? The package that came in last Monday from overseas. I saw an international package in the corner of Michael’s office yesterday, replied Jessica. That might be it. You know when no one claims them in two or more days that is where they go. I didn’t even think to look there, let me call him and have him to look himself. Michael told her he had the package. Thank you for… never mind. and Maria hung up the phone. Thank you, Jessica! Girl, its nothing, let me get back to work, bye girl! Jessica had played her cards right but didn’t know the people who stuff they had stolen wasn’t going away no time soon.

Christina was back from her business trip and Gloria was happy she was. They went out to eat and talk about the trip. Gloria informed Christina that their boss Luis Graham was in town for the next three days. Gloria said that he came down from New York to pass out bonuses to all of those who have outstanding work and for her to look for one with an invitation to the head office in New York. Gloria stated, It would do you some good because you can take Michael and the two of you could have some much-needed time together. Christina was happy about that part because she knew she had been away from Michael too long and was not preforming her role as a wife. She needed the alone time herself, her body was hungry for tender loving care and a trip could renew their love for each other which started to fade. What Christina didn’t know was that she was in for the surprise of her life. When they returned back to the office from lunch Christina said she would head on home and they hugged, and she left. On her way to the house she called Michael, he answered the phone and as they talked he wasn’t listening as she asked him to come home because she needed him. Michael’s mind was somewhere else and even though he heard her cry for love he pushed it to the back of his mind and said, I must wait for Jack to get back and there is no telling when that might be so don’t wait up. Christina took a hot shower and laid down hoping once Michael got home he would lay on top of her like he used to when they first got married. She fell asleep with that on her mind and woke up kissing a pillow, grinding the sheets and completely wet between her thighs. She looked at the clock next to the bed and it was four in the morning and Michael was not there. Christina called him, and the phone went straight to voice mail, so she tried to go back to sleep but that was hard to do knowing she couldn’t reach her husband. Where could he be this time of morning?

Mmmm, that was great, but we must take a break from each other my wife is back, and she will be looking for me to be home with her. I do know Michael, but our life has grown so much closer now. Do you expect me to just sit around and watch you be with her when your heart is with me? I love you more than life itself! I have been very patient don’t you think? Yes, I know but it is not a good time to let her know, trust me I will let her know soon but not now ok! If you love me the way you say you do you would give me the time I need ok babe. I will my love, now come here and let me love you the way you like me too.

Secrets and Murder

J ack and Jessica went blow for blow, the place was ripped apart from them fighting. Jessica was full of rage over Jack holding out on her after she put herself out there for him. It was her who found the package and told Jack about it and it was her who came up with the plan to replace the package with another one the same size and place it in Michael’s office. Jack had given the package to his brother Rex who thought he was a true gangster. Jessica screamed at Jack, telling him that he had no right to give her half to his brother. What he did with his half was his business but hers wasn’t. She wanted it back and Jack told her that it was too late. Well I want all the money Jessica said, and that is when Jack told her that he would give her whatever he wanted and to never raise her voice at him again or he would kill her. Jessica’s eyes became angrier and they went at it again. Jessica was a very stubborn woman who cared nothing about taking an ass beating. She has been beaten so badly before that her body went through withdrawals. She would die for what she believed in and in this case, she did when Jack hit her in the back of the head with a hammer. Jessica fell to the floor with her eyes wide opened and the look of pain on her face to never rise again. Jack panicked and left her body on the floor and headed straight to the train station. Outside his home were special agent David Johnson and partner Paula Blackman who were assigned to watch them no matter where they went. As soon as Jack surfaced from the house and jumped into his car agent Johnson and Blackman trailed behind him. Jack made no stops along the way, wherever he was going he was in a rush to get there and agent Johnson and Blackman were right on his trail. While Jack was driving he thought about going back but changed his mind quickly when his phone rung. Hello, Jack! Yeah Rex, man I am glad you called I’m going to catch a train up that way, I’m on my way to the station right now! Hold up Jack! What’s going on? I can’t talk about it on the phone Rex, just trust me man, it’s the right thing. I will see you when I get there. Jack hopped on the train to New York unaware he was being followed by Johnson and Blackman special agents with homeland security. They had been on the case for two years and had no luck until they placed surveillance in the shipping and receiving department of Michael’s office. A week before the incident Michael was approached by the agents and was informed of the investigation process and that his full cooperation in this matter was requested by the government. Michael quickly responded whatever you need to do go right ahead. They caught a big break when they saw Jessica open the package that came from overseas. She thought it had money and drugs in it, but there weren’t any drugs, instead it was full of uncut diamonds. Two Nigerian men came to pick up the package within that week and were furious when the package could not be found. Michael wanted to talk with someone about what was going on but knew that would be a bad decision so like everything else in his life he kept it a secret.

Jack Rose knew that Michael would be calling him to find out why he nor Jessica came in and if he didn’t get an answer he may come by, which he hoped not. Robert Devonne and Carl Goldman from the regional office came by to inspect the post office for its six-month inspection. Michael seemed to be always shorthanded each inspection. He called Jack and Jessica and got no answer from either of them so he called in Sondra Brown and Ernest White to fill in. After a week of not being able to get ahold of Jack or Jessica he went to check on them but no one was home. There was a nasty smell and flies were everywhere, so Michael called the police. When they arrived, they saw the flies and went in only to find Jessica dead half eaten by bugs and the place was destroyed. The police called the homicide detectives and the Captain assigned his top detectives in the 5th precinct Rachel James and Kevin Grey to assist the FBI who already had jurisdiction over the case. Agent Johnson and Blackman had received orders from the head office in Washington D.C. from the Director Mrs. Jennifer Franklin to go ahead and move in on the case involving Jessica Green and Jack Rose. Agent Johnson was also ordered to see if Michael had any involvement and if so to take him down also. Agent Johnson was all too pleased and planned to do exactly that.

Barking Up the Wrong Tree

L uis Graham was unhappy to hear that someone got his package, unaware that he was talking directly to the Feds, Conrad James undercover FBI special agent. It was Luis Graham the brains behind the whole thing who Agent Hightower aka Conrad James ran into in Johannesburg South Africa at a diamond show posing as a rich diamond collector. After three men were shot and killed by Chief Omar Malawi’s army and everyone placed face down on the ground with guns pressed against their heads, Chief Malawi pulled agent Hightower to his feet and asked him was he American. Agent Hightower said, Yes, I am American. The chief had his men beat him to a pulp until he couldn’t walk and then left. They didn’t kill him because the Chief knew he was a government agent and was there on business. Luis Graham had his men bring him with them only because he was American! Working undercover can be a bitch at times, the only good thing that came from Agent Hightower getting beat down was he made contact and so far he was in. Luis Graham had his maid take care of Conrad James after two weeks of serious recovery the agent was back on his feet. Luis Graham had a private jet at his disposal which he wanted to use to move his illegal money and diamonds. With agent Hightower able to move around Mr. Graham approached him with a proposition that he couldn’t refuse. Conrad listened real good to Mr. Graham who was known as the world’s best diamond smuggler. Do you want in or not? Mr. Graham asked Conrad. Yes, I do, but you do know unless I land on a private air strip our chances of getting away are slim replied Conrad. I have everything worked out you just be available when I make the call. replied Mr. Graham. That was two years ago.

Mr. Graham wants to make an example out of someone but when he got wind that the person who had his fortune was wanted for questioning in the death of his girlfriend and was now on the run. Mr. Graham used his contacts and found out that Jack Rose was his name and he was heading to New York to stay with his brother Rex Rose a club owner in Manhattan. So Luis Graham called in a few favors from a friend name Rick Romano an underground crime boss who loves to watch people beg for their life when he knows that he will kill them anyway. Mr. Romano sent in four men to handle it but was surprised to learn that they were all killed and not by the man, in which he put out the hit on to be brought into him, but by the special agents who were after him. They were to get to New York and wait until Romano made their money. Rex was already in the drug game buying three to four hundred pounds every nine month and was to supply the entire north coast from Philadelphia to Chicago then up to Maine but now he had his hands on some pure uncut African diamonds over two billion dollars’ worth and he would kill any and everybody to make sure no one takes them. Rex had made phone call to people in the business who wanted to view some of them, they were coming in from Syracuse, Boston, Ohio, Nevada, and Texas! People knew Rex word was reliable, so they came. Most had jewelry stores themselves and wanted some of the precious stones to fill their display cases knowing their customer’s eyes would sparkle with desire. However, Rex didn’t know that the F.B.I was on his brother Jack’s trail which would lead to him if he didn’t cut ties.

Two Hard Years’ Worth of Work

S pecial Agent Paul Knight stayed in contact with agents David Johnson and his partner Agent Blackman who were in New York trailing Jack Rose. He had no clue that he was being trailed. Agent Johnson and Agent Blackman made contact with Special Agent Maria Lopez and were to team up with them both and take down Rex Rose. She was assigned by the Director herself and it was known throughout Washington D.C. you don’t get the job unless you earn it.

Some say Rodger was only friends with Michael because he had made it big. If they only knew how far they were from the truth. The truth is Rodger was Michael’s first! Rodger glanced over at Michael as he drove. What’s the matter Michael? Don’t tell me that you are actually feeling guilty about all that has happened? Not guilty Rodger just sorry I did not let Jack know that I knew what was going on, and because I did nothing Jessica is now dead. It was not your idea to search the packages that belong to someone else, they were looking for trouble and found it. So, don’t go blaming yourself, shit we have enough problem ourselves. When are you going to tell your wife about us? asked Rodger. Michael only rolled his eyes at the question. I would like an answer Michael. I do believe I have been very patient. Listen Rodger, I don’t want to hurt Christina or give her any reason to question my love for her, and I keep reminding myself she doesn’t deserve this. Michael I don’t care if she can’t grasp or accept it, that’s not essential to me. Why the hell should we not be open about us, do you want me or not Michael? Dammit! Not now Rodger there is too much going on, the F.B.I. are now thinking I may have had something to do with it. But how Michael and why? Dammit Rodger use your damn head I run the damn post office. But why would they think you were involved Michael. Jack and I –only once. No way Michael, you didn’t sleep with him. Yes, and only once, and the bad part it was filmed. "Oh my God, you did not have sex on tape, what were you thinking about, let me guess a hard dick right. You make me sick Michael! When your ass gets all wet and hot it doesn’t matter who you hurt as long as
