About this ebook

Morgan Stanley is a tough sort of girl who doesn’t sugarcoat the truth. She wants a lot in life—in particular, she wants to be loved. When the sexy Franklin walks in and sweeps her off her feet, she thinks she might have found just the man for her. He shares her passion for life and the bedroom … but Franklin is not what he seems.

As time passes, things take an unexpected turn for the worse. Morgan ends up pregnant, carrying Franklin’s child, but their relationship only grows darker as Franklin becomes more overbearing and jealous. When Morgan finds herself locked behind asylum doors, she begins to question not only her sanity but also the man she loves and the life they’ve built.

    Prologue

How did I get here? How could I let my emotions take over like that? It's cold, and the bed is so hard. No windows, and I can barely breathe. The room lacks air. I can truly only blame myself for being here. I let that so-called man into my life, and now my life is over. The only thing that I remember from the trial is the judge saying my sentence. I will never trust another man again. I don't think I can function in society. They have deemed me mentally insane, so I guess you can say I am not right upstairs.

My life was not supposed to be like this. I dreamed of having the big house, nice car, kids, pets, and a loving husband. I realize I will never have those things I desired. My relationships were all bad, and the only time they
