In the high-speed hustle and bustle world of corporate America, there are many people who do not like their jobs. They only work to pay the bills or to make the day go by. In contrast, I consider myself lucky. I have the best opportunity to witness one of the greatest miracles on earth--childbirth. There are many rewards that come with my job as an obstetrician-gynecologist, but assisting with childbirth offers the most immediate gratification.

It is important to understand that childbirth is universal, but every mother’s experience is different and her own.
