No one is good enough for Xavier. Not according to Sasha, his best friend. There's nothing Sasha wouldn't do to protect Xavier from getting hurt, especially by his cheating ex Ivy, who's suddenly slithered back into the picture. Worried that Xavier is ready to forgive and forget, Sasha decides to do a little catfishing. She poses as a hot guy online, to prove cheaters never change.

But Sasha's plan goes wrong fast, and soon the lies lead down a path from which there's no return …

Lynn Weingarten is a writer of teenage and young adult fiction and an editor of books. She lives in Brooklyn, New York where she likes reading, eating snacks, playing with fluffy animals, and plotting ways for made-up people to brutally murder each other. She is the queen of twisty-turny plots and her books are perfect for readers who have enjoyed books such as Jennifer Niven's All the Bright Places, Karen McManus' One of Us Is Lying, C.L. Taylor's The Treatment, and E Lockhart's We Were Liars.

I absolutely loved everything about this book!
It's my new favorite, I read it in only a couple of hours.
Bad Girls with Perfect Faces is the type of story that's hard to summarize without giving away details so I'll just say if you're a fan of psychological, thriller, YA, and suspense check it out! You will not be disappointed!

I did want to know how it all played out but at the same time I didn’t particularly care what happened to the characters. With suspense as this book’s strongest asset, I don’t really want to reveal much about the plot other than to say it’s focused on a sort of triangle that’s obsessive and ominous, though not all that romantic so if you prefer thrills to swoons this might work for you. It isn’t romantic, and yet their romances are all these characters seem to be concerned with, by the end of the book I felt like I still knew nothing about them other than who they wanted and the twisted lengths they’d go to for them. Do they have any interests or aspirations beyond their love lives? Maybe more of their family dynamics would have at least helped give some insight into their damaged choices. I don’t mind unlikable characters, which these definitely are, what I do mind are characters so thinly drawn and of such one-track minds that they don’t seem fully human.

**Book Review of Bad Girls With Perfect Faces ** Thanks to @bookishhq for a copy of the book. What starts off as teen rivalry kind of stuff, quickly turns into something much darker and sinister. It's a psychological thriller in my opinion. Sasha wants to protect her best friend Xavier from basically anything that would cause him harm either physically or psychologically, especially from something horrific he may have done. She does this, however, at her own peril and at the risk of her own sanity for goodness sake! Xavier seems like he's been treated like a baby just a bit too much. You know what I mean? Sasha should have never protected him because she put herself in the middle of a horrible situation. We're talking life altering major consequences, and it's just not worth it. Let him live with his actions and their consequences instead of shielding him. Xavier needed a reality check long before he actually got one. And, possibly a good slap across the face for just checking out and putting a giant burden on Sasha. Now, she forever feels responsible for him. Seriously, this guy is oblivious to what's actually happening in reality all around him. He also plays dumb and ignores everything. Honestly, I started to hate Sasha for her stupidity and Xavier for his naivety and ignorance. But, the story was redeemed! I was genuinely surprised by that twist at the end. No spoilers. I really didn't consider that situation at all. That was a great way to wrap things up quite neatly. I was sad, though, at where everyone ended up. Kind of wished for more after the fact, so to speak. Anyway, it's a very intriguing story overall. I recommend it. Bad Girls With Perfect Faces
