    Introduction

Scientists have been reductionists far too long. Too many still believe that if it is not proven, it does not exist. This is a tragic, absurd, and indeed, unscientific position. Virtually all of the great scientists have used intuition to arrive at their discoveries. Yet many scientists deny the existence of intuition!

One of the great scientists of the last century, Lord Kelvin, said, Science is bound by the everlasting law of honour to face fearlessly every problem which can fairly be presented to it. Science has often failed to do that. Now a few pioneers have proven scientifically that energy healing, reincarnation, past lives and other extra-sensory phenomena exist. There is so much more out there than a sentient being can imagine. It is time we recognized this. Let us not permit the limited people to stop the unlimited people from their work. This book may help you see what opportunities there are for those who can realize that the reality of the world they live in is different from what they have been taught.

    Chapter 1

    I wish I had Known...

It was a wonderful warm summer somewhere in America. The Boy had just completed his junior year in high school. His sister, the Girl, was one year and one class, younger. They were home for the summer and loved to take walks with their Grandfather, which they had done ever since they could walk. Their Grandfather, who lived nearby, had seen the world in every sense of the word.

A park on the outskirts of the city where they lived served them well. A stream ran through it, and its banks were forested. Two roads, about two miles apart, crossed the park and the stream. The park was laced with wide walking trails.

It was here that the trio – Grandfather, Boy and Girl – walked and talked many mornings during that summer.

One day, Grandfather said to them, I have been thinking that there are some things that I wish I had known when I was your age! Would you like to know what they are?

The Boy and Girl, who loved and admired their Grandfather, a retired physician – and indeed were somewhat awed by his accomplishments, and by the regard in which the world held him – both cried, Yes!

So, as they walked along a wooded path near the bubbling stream, Grandfather began talking:

"Humans have been on earth for some three million years. Most of that time, they lived as hunter-gatherers. The men hunted, and the women gathered – berries, wild mushrooms, whatever they could find that was edible, and firewood. The young hunters and gatherers had children, but they did not have much time or inclination to raise them. Of course, for the first six months of life, the mother never put her infant down. She carried him everywhere. Then the grandparents, who were wiser than they had been when they were younger, took over, and the mother went back to multi-tasking. The infant always knew it was welcome in her arms. The arrangement worked well, and continues in many tribal societies today.

About 10,000 years ago – a very short time ago in the history of our human occupation of earth – at the end of the last Ice Age, some humans figured out how to grow food in one place. They learned to prepare the ground, and then to plant seeds. They learned to water and harvest the crops. This was the beginning of the Agricultural Revolution, which meant that man no longer needed to wander about, seeking food. He could build a shelter and remain in one place near his crops. He also learned to domesticate some animals. Instead of hunting them, he grazed them and used them for heavy work and for food. Soon this new way of providing food led to a surplus, and human populations began to increase. A need for organization arose. Someone who could control the flow of irrigation water for the crops was needed, so that everyone’s crops would get a share of the water. This led to a
