    A True Fairy Tale

    Use the creative and fantasizing part of your brain for this portion of the book.

    Before time, in a doomed universe far, far away on the edge of a doomed galaxy, was a planet or just a space for a surreptitious lead-lined laboratory for Two Guys to work on their plan for a new and better universe; one that would expand and not ultimately collapse on itself and become a black hole from which there would be no return. They had profound disagreements with their place of origin and the way things were done, so they went rogue in order to make their very own universe and government. They were in search of the perfect quark. The quark would be the ultimate building block of matter (dirt) and life. In the lab, they would invent the laws of physics and chemistry and, of course, the law of thermodynamics, electromagnetism, and gravity. They needed to think ahead if they were able to have all the atoms and elements needed for their intense work of creating human life later on. Maybe life similar to them? Invisible spirits? Quite a daunting task.

    There were so many problems to solve: (1) Gravity was essential—macromasses of matter attracted to each other; (2) the electromagnetic force was needed to combine tiny particles, like the quarks, to make them stick together; and (3) photons were also needed as particles and/or waves so they could make light that would be seen by a future eyeball. Not forgetting the necessity of light for photosynthesis and plants. Lots of work to be done, but no worries, they had plenty of time, probably five to ten billion Earth years. Our time meant nothing to them. A day to us could be a billion years to them.

    These guys were not human at all; they were spirits—invisible and immortal. Where the heart would logically be, their energy source was a miniature nuclear device, smaller and more futuristic than any nuclear submarine. Their brains were incredible and indescribable, fed at a feverish pace by the nuclear source. They had no need for legs—they were spirits and floated about. I suppose they have arms and hands to work in the lab, designing, engineering, and architecting the perfect quark. One interesting and important note—the best part of the Two Guys were their brains, as they were quite large and unique and clever. Both (was one a clone?) were interconnected telepathically and were essentially one and the same being. They felt a need for companionship and interaction with something, so they worked on the premise that a biologic being could be created to fill that need, sort of like our need for a pet; dog, cat, boa, etc. Our need for a pet companion is solved easily with a trip to the pound or pet store. The Two Guys’ need was not solved so easily; it was a bit more complicated as they had to work from scratch! They knew they would require different elements to create life—eyes, ears, mouth, tongue, nose, rectum, reproductive organs, blood, etc. The life they were contemplating would not use nuclear power but a new concept: biological life. Heart and lungs would be the starting points, and they would go from there. They lived in a vacuum, and life would need an atmosphere. First, they needed light, so they worked on that—different wavelengths for different colors and X-rays and radio waves and ultra violet, infrared, and gamma rays. Maybe waves are particles; they would figure it out. Also involved were the laws of nature and physics, like gravity and energy for big stuff and the law of thermodynamics for small stuff like quarks and atoms.

    No one on Earth has ever seen a quark. They are quite tiny but can be manipulated to make trillions of different atoms and elements and molecules—all necessary for their plan of a new and better universe. Nevertheless those guys made several types of quarks—up, down, strange, charmed, bottom, and top. And each one comes in different colors—red, green, and blue. How they were put together made a big difference billenniums later. The ups and downs are the most stable. (Google quark model for more info.)

    When they put two up quarks and one down quark together, they created a proton with a positive charge—an essential building block for atoms and elements. Two downs and one up quark made a neutron—no charge, having the same mass as the proton. With the proton and electron, they created the hydrogen gas atom, the most numerous atom found in the universe. Hydrogen has the atomic number of one. When a neutron contacts a hydrogen proton, it transforms it into the atom deuterium (heavy hydrogen). With an electromagnetic strong force, they are bound together like tiny orange sections with electrons zipping around the nucleus.

    Deuterium (heavy hydrogen, with an added neutron) atoms under extreme heat and pressure coalesce/fuse to form a helium atom, containing two protons and two neurons. In this fusion process, it produces photons, which is exactly what these guys had wanted. More chemistry to come, but isn’t it awesome that they could think ahead about atoms and reactions to come in order to make their own expanding universe with light and ultimately life?

    Let’s say they finished the lab work and collected all the quarks (probably 10 to the 126—10 with 126 zeros), enough to make 200 billion galaxies, each one with about 200 billion stars! They made and packed them inactivated and tightly into a special pressure cooker, like one not seen or heard possible. They packed them in—ups and downs—and then to fill the gaps, they threw in a soup of electrons, photons, bosons, gamma rays, and to top it all off, a crap load of dark matter and dark energy just to keep the future scientists humble trying to figure it out. This whole bucket was tightly sealed and had an activation switch that was needed to activate with the strong electromagnetic force, all the particles. The switch was set for ten milliseconds.

    The Two Guys grabbed the bucket and headed for deep, dark vacuous space. They went far, far from their universe so they wouldn’t be affected when it imploded into a black hole and disappeared forever. Maybe they traveled twenty to thirty trillion Earth light-years far into deep space. When they arrived at their desired and planned spot, their destination, they tripped the activation switch and threw the open bucket into deep dark space, maybe shouting together Out of darkness, the light shall shine (2 Cor. 4:6), and it was at this momentous time that the Big Flash happened and Earth time began. (No Big Bang, silly, it’s a vacuum out there!)

    Then God [Two Guys] said, Let there be light, and there was light. (Gen. 1:3)

    I read more, and you should too. I will reference the books and videos that provided some of the information. I hope you enjoy my conclusions and that they also get you to think.

    The Two Guys and Their Book of Nature

    Let’s go from fairy tale to the scientific truth revealed in the Book of Nature.

    They [people] know the truth about God because He has made it obvious to them. For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So, they have no excuse for not knowing God. (Romans 1:19–20, italics added for emphasis)

    Now we will reveal the true meaning of awesome and great.

    By wisdom the LORD founded the earth; by understanding he created the heavens. By his knowledge the deep fountains of the earth burst forth, and the dew settles beneath the night sky. My child, don’t lose sight of common sense and discernment. Hang on to them, for they will refresh your soul. They are like jewels on a necklace. They keep you safe on your way." (Prov. 3:19–23, italics added for emphasis)

    Now we will discover the truth and nothing but the truth; the facts and nothing but the facts. The Bible and the Bible only, with no one to help you interpret it, as it’s written for simple folks like me.

    In this book I want you to be astounded on every page and say Wow, I didn’t know that!

    I’m presenting nothing new; it’s all been well-written before, and I give the references for further study. I highly recommend further study. Read this in context as it’s utterly fascinating. Just watch the noted videos that are available. Your offspring will show you how to access this stuff. The books are available on Amazon or just go to the library. I’m only giving an overview of this covered material. Search deeper (or go to dental school for four years) and you’ll be amazed at how very complicated matter and chemistry and life turn out to be!

    The Big Flash and the Aftermath

    And God said, Let there be light and there was light.

    —Genesis 1:3

    At the Big Flash, the bucket exploded, and quarks spread evenly everywhere. Then the pressure and temperature decreased to 100 million degrees, which is the temperature of our sun’s surface. Within a few minutes, the quarks began to fuse into protons, two ups and one down quark, and neutrons, two downs and one up quark. A proton interacted with an electron to create a hydrogen atom. And some of these hydrogen atoms bumped into neutrons under forced pressure, becoming deuterium atoms. Now we have a huge soup of hydrogen and deuterium gas atoms all floating about in this huge vacuum a gazillion miles wide. Two deuterium atoms collide to form helium. Then we have a huge soup of hydrogen, deuterium, and helium gas atoms that float around for two hundred million years. (Some say it’s three hundred. Who cares?) This was the first of the Dark Ages. After this point of time, the soup had cooled, and the dawn began. Gravity began to work, and the hydrogen and deuterium atoms clumped together while a swirling vortex began to form on a flattish plane. More and more hydrogen and deuterium gas atoms were sucked in, creating a lot of heat and pressure. Then flash! A nuclear fusion reaction began, and the first star was born, and finally there was steady light. Two deuterium atoms fused together to make helium, and this fusion threw off lots of photons, gamma rays, and heat just like our sun works today.

    The photons that were released at the Big Flash 13.7 billion years ago we can still measure, see, and record as background microwaves. As a kid in the 1950s, I could see snow on our TV when I first turned it on, thanks to background microwaves. Today every cubic centimeter of space in the universe has four hundred photons—fossils from long, long ago!

    Then star after star united in swirling masses. Groups of stars began vortexing around a central mass, and a galaxy was born. Many galaxies formed over the next billion years. In fact, it is now estimated that there are two hundred billion galaxies just from a bucket! Think cotton candy, a huge ball of candy that can be wadded into a little pea-sized ball. Great job, Guys!
