You're A Wonder Woman - Lisa Maxwell
Foreword
You're truly a Wonder Woman and this book is definitely a gift to you for being so amazing!
From the moment I met Lisa in a coaching relationship, I have always been astounded by how she holds things together so nicely. In the past, I had often worried about stay-at-home mums giving of themselves so much till they had nothing left to offer. But Lisa healed me of my paradigm. She's literally living her dreams, helping others do the same, yet consciously raising her children through intentional parenting as well as fully investing in her family.
I believe she's shown that it is possible and, now, gone further to document her genuine insights into this extraordinary book. Reading this heartfelt manual, You Are A Wonder Woman, opened up answers for productive, passionate, and purposeful living for stay-at-home mums and for mums in general. The author uses a warm writing style with storytelling to take us on a journey that heals, encourages, and instructs. You will definitely enjoy this book.
A real classic. You Are a Wonder Woman shows stay-at-homes in particular how to discover your inner strength, unveil your God-given assignment, serve your family with love, raise your children with intention and become all you want to be without guilt or regret. There are strategies in here for productive prioritization, building support systems, and staying mentally strong. This book is a treasure to have, and Lisa, I am so proud of you!

Introduction
If you are a stay-at-home mum struggling to find a balance between being a wife and being a mother to your child(ren), if you are consistently overwhelmed and want to know what being a stay-at-home mum looks like even though you don't have kids yet, you have picked the right book.
Being a stay-at-home mum is a skill, and as with all skills, you get better with daily practice. Before we delve in, however, I want you to know this: we aren’t striving for perfection but for progress. God didn’t intend for you to do it all by yourself. He is the one who gives children and they are His precious gifts (Psalm 127:3).
Motherhood is such a beautiful thing. I remember the joy I felt within me when I first held my firstborn in the labour room. Instantly, the pain I felt melted away as I gazed into my little boy’s eyes, just like the scripture in John 16:21 reads, When a woman is giving birth, she has sorrow because her hour has come, but when she has delivered the baby, she no longer remembers the anguish, for joy that a human being has been born into the world.
Amazing!
Coupled with the joy I felt, however, there was this overwhelming feeling of responsibility that overtook me. While being a mother is beautiful, it can be challenging. I knew I didn’t want to let this little boy down and at that moment, I knew I had to give my all. Although I didn’t know how I was going to achieve that, I knew that God would fill the gaps. Still, I certainly didn’t expect a lot of what unfolded after my baby was born, right after we left the hospital.
Over the years, I had to learn the act of balance and finding harmony while expressing my multi-dimensional flows as an individual, wife, mother, and daughter without dropping any balls. Being a mum doesn’t mean you can’t pursue your God-given assignments. With the help of the Holy Spirit you simply need to understand the season you are in and what is required of you in that season.
This book was written to help all mothers - especially stay-at-home mums or those who are looking to become stay-at-home mums - navigate raising children, running the home, and being wives without losing themselves. I take the liberty to share with you my journey, including what I have learnt and what I am still learning as a stay-at-home mum. It is sure to bless you.
I pray that as you read this book, not only would you understand the role of a mother from God's concept, but you will also have the necessary tools and hacks to help you navigate this season, as well as become all that God has called you to be.
