Giggle Dust 3.0
H ey, Ruby,
Natalie said as I arrived at her house for the party. I’m so glad you could make it. I’ve been reaching out and inviting more people to my little shindigs because I’ve have a few friends go all crazy on me lately.
What do you mean, crazy?
I asked, not understanding what she could mean. I knew Natalie from work and it was quite a surprise when she invited me to a party. We weren’t that great of friends, but I was appreciative of the offer. I didn’t have much of a social life on my own.
It’s been weird, but a lot of my friends have completely changed lately,
Natalie started to explain. They used to be normal, but now all they seem to care about is boys and sex. First it was Laurie. I had to cut her out of my life entirely. Then Zoe went all weird on me. Thanks,
I said as I shrugged off my jacket and hung it up by the door. There was a wall of hooks, with several jackets already hanging there.
Stepping into Natalie’s house, it looked much as I had assumed from the outside. It was as standard bungalow, the type of house that had been built somewhere between 70 and 100 years ago. The floors were hardwood, the walls plastered and painted. The living and dining rooms seemed to have a creamy yellow color. It was hard to tell in the dim light, but it looked cozy and homey.
However, this being a house party, I knew where the real socialization would take place. I may not have had much of a social life, but I had been to a few parties and people always congregated in the kitchen. That is where
