Chapter 1

William led Carol into the building, the collar at her throat attached by a sleek leather leash to his hand. They checked their coats, leaving him in dark denim jeans and a black shirt open at the neck. Carol stood a step behind him, completely naked yet fully dressed.

She wore his collar and nothing else.

He led her into the main room, where a collection of chairs was set up in front of a small stage. Several men milled about, chatting. Some of them had women and men with them, most kneeling at their feet, in various outfits. William strode across the room, tugging Carol after him. Their destination: backstage.

As Carol walked through the open door to the backstage area, the hair on the back of her neck stood on end and goose pimples covered her from head to toe. Her nipples puckered, and a strangled gasp escaped her open mouth.

William glanced back at her, a smile playing upon his lips. He knew this would excite her and it pleased him to watch her reaction.

The room was alive with human flesh.

The slaves stood, wrists tethered to hooks high above their heads and spread ankles attached to bolts on the floor. Men and women of all ages, races and sizes were presented to those looking to buy.

Potential buyers ran appraising hands over the slaves, fingers checked suitability of orifices and pinched nipples to elicit responses from them. Whimpers and soft cries of mingled pleasure and pain flitted around the room. Hushed tones and barked orders collided and enveloped those who entered. But it was the smell, the heightened sexual desire of both slave and buyer mixed with burning shame and sweat, that caused Carol’s legs to falter.

William was beside her, arm steadying her before she could slip to the floor.
