About this ebook
The assembly in the school is a natural ecological habitat of students in all the primary and post primary institutions. It is the largest population centre of the whole school. The students, their teachers, the school management and the non teaching staff, all are present on the assembly, at the same time and for the same purpose.
The school assembly is the first meeting point for the students and the school authorities. It is a place designed for starting the work of the day. This is the norm and culture of all the schools where the school assembly is observed every day.
It is equally an intermediate institution between the home and the school. The student comes from home in the morning with ignorance and rawness. The main work of the authorities is how to completely expunge ignorance and rawness from the life of the student. This is done on daily basis, through gradual replacement of ignorance with established knowledge and rawness with scholastic articulation.
A lot happen on the school assembly that we do not take note. I am sure that a lot of these truths would be discovered in this book. This would change our perception of the assembly and make us to appreciate the wisdom of the school authorities.

The situation of our schools is a challenge to the education sector. The sector has witnessed a lot in recent time. Gross Indiscipline, poor reading culture or study habit, moral decadence and ineptitude have become so widespread.
However, creditable is the foresight, dedication and hard work of the school authorities that brought the schools up to the present state. As the society is growing, so are the attendant consequences on all the sections of the society. It is a generic issue.
The search for a way out of the challenges
