Since the Social Enterprise Academy opened its doors in 2004, we have helped more than 78,000 changemakers in over 13 countries to step up and solve the social and environmental issues that matter most to them. And this is just the beginning: we continue to grow and create fairer communities around the world.

In Scotland, our young entrepreneurs were excited to hear that there were other young people around the world running social enterprises, so we set up an online video call with some of the schools involved, from South Africa to Malaysia and Egypt. Entrepreneurs shared stories and listened to insights about what it’s like to run a social enterprise. Despite the differences in culture, geography and even language, there were similarities in the social issues they were tackling.
