The motivation to write Another Woman was sparked by a conversation with a very good friend who was curious about the dynamics of same sex marriage (particular domestic violence). Due to the staggering statics (20 people per minute are physically abused by an intimate partner), I was compelled to address this top through my creative platform. I hope this story creatively brings attention to a situation that many face every day.
Chapter 1
Late evening rays of sunlight blanket the upper class suburban houses of Augustus, Georgia as Susan Veras steered her black BMW sedan onto a driveway of a two story colonial brick house. The garage door automatically opened, revealing a white Porsche and garden tools. Susan cautiously slowed the vehicle to a stop opposite the Porsche. She took a deep breath while toying with the diamond ring on her finger.
Oh, Lord, please let tonight be argue free,
Susan whispered.
Susan unplugged a cellphone from the charger, grabbed a leather briefcase and a designer purse from the passenger seat then stepped out the car. A second later, she turned to come face to face with a person wearing a black outfit and ski-mask. Susan dropped all that she carried and screamed as the assailant took her by the neck.
Help! Help! Help!
Susan yelled, as she struggled to free herself.
The assailant ripped Susan’s blue blouse, revealing voluptuous breasts cupped in a white bra.
Help!
Susan, calm down, it’s me,
uttered a soft female voice.
Susan snatched off the ski-mask, and smiled with relief as she stared up at her wife’s milky white complexation and dazzling green eyes.
Oh my god! Sofia! Have you lost your mind?
Susan asked with wide eyes.
Sofia cupped Susan’s face with soft manicured hands then whispered, I miss you.
So you scared the crap out of me to express it?
Sofia caressed Susan’s breast, then whispered, Fear increases blood flow to all the right places.
Have you been drinking?
Susan asked, then cupped Sofia’s face to inspect her eyes.
Sofia measured a quarter inch with her fingers. No whisky, just a sip of wine.
Susan shook her head in disappointment. Why would you touch that poison after you promised you wouldn’t? You know how it affects you and our relationship.
It was only a sip, Susan, please don’t make me feel worse than I do,
Sofia pleaded.
Susan sighed. A sip leads to two sips then a glass then vodka and all that other stuff leads to us arguing and fighting. I’m sick of it, Sofia and I swear to God I’m not going down that road with you again. I’m not.
Okay, okay, I’m sorry and I’m done. I Promise. No more sips,
Sofia said luring Susan to the back of the BMW.
You’ve been clean for almost two months. Why are you drinking?
Susan asked.
Sofia lifted Susan onto the trunk. I had a really hard day at work. The administration is trying to cut a few good programs and it’s stressing me out. I’m sorry.
I don’t want to experience your addiction again. Once was enough for Tiffany too. I can’t do it again, Sofia. I can’t,
Susan warned.
You won’t. I promised,
Sofia said, then unhooked Susan’s bra.
You always making promises,
Susan mumbled as Sofia planted gentle kisses near her dark nipples.
Sofia swirled her warm wet tongue around Susan left nipple then asked, You forgive me?
I’m not sure yet,
Susan said with a devilish grin. It depends on how well this situation ends.
Well, let me try my best,
Sofia said, sucking the right nipple.
Susan’s large nipples rose to attention as Sofia’s mouth took in each breast whole.
Ohhh,
Susan moaned, then leaned against the car window.
Let me know when I’m forgiven,
Sofia said, then slowly slid Susan’s skirt up, revealing her red panties.
You’re moving in the right direction,
Susan said, holding on to Sofia’s short reddish hair.
Sofia parted Susan’s smooth curvy legs then slightly moved her panties to the right. Susan quivered as Sofia’s tongue and lips glided over her moist protruding flesh.
I forgive you,
Susan moaned.

Two glass tables and eight cushioned chairs rest atop manicured grass that surround an Olympic size pool. Barely clothed and overwhelmed with laughter, Susan and Sofia quickly exited the back door of the garage. As the happy couple hurried pass one of the glass tables, a uniform police officer of dark complexion emerged from the bushes that lined the wire fence.
You two stop right there,
Officer M. Jones ordered, while shining a flashlight on Susan and Sofia.
Both women nervously turned in the direction of the flashlight.
Sofia used the back of her hand to shield her face from the light. Susan hid behind Sofia.
Get that flashlight out my face!
Sofia shouted as she cautiously approached the officer.
Jones lowered the flashlight then moved closer to the fence.
The neighbor said she heard screams. Is everything okay?
Jones asked.
Sofia’s eyes narrowed with disgust. No one screamed. We’re fine.
You two live here?
Jones inquired.
Yes we do and I said we’re fine,
Sofia said.
Jones moved closer. May I see your id?
Sofia stepped back. No! You may not see my id. I said we live here! What would we be standing here doing if we didn’t live here?
That’s why I am here. I need to find out,
said the officer.
Well, I told you we live here.
Prove it,
Jones insisted.
Sofia shook her head. No! Now get off my property!
You could show me your id or we could have this talk at the jail house.
Susan stepped in front of Sofia. Wait a minute, officer. I’ll show you my id.
Susan removed a card from her purse.
No, don’t show him anything!
Sofia yelled then brushed away Susan’s hand.
Sofia, please.
Susan’s eyes lit up with frustration. It’ll take one second. Let’s not make this a big issue. It’s just id.
Sofia shook her head in disgust and crossed her arms over her breasts as Susan handed Jones her id. Here you go officer.
Jones accepted the card then flashed the light on the info then at Susan’s face.
You satisfied?
Sofia asked, with a hint of sarcasm.
Jones returned the card to Susan. I’m only doing my job.
What is your name?
Sofia asked.
Officer Mitchell Jones,
he said walking away.
I will be filing a complaint about your behavior on my lawn, Officer Mitchell Jones,
Sofia promised.
Mitchell continued towards the police car. You two have a good night.
Sofia put her arm around Susan.
Oh, we sure will,
Sofia said as both women sped walk to the house giggling.
The officer entered the car then drove away.

A flat screen television hung perfectly in front of a twin size bed upon which sixteen year old Tiffany Veras relaxed. She wore a pink t-shirt and matching shorts. With curious brown eyes she stared at her opened laptop. On the screen was sixteen year old Jason Kadet, a handsome boy of milky white complexion.
We still on for the movies this weekend?
asked Jason.
Tiffany smiled shyly. I’m not sure. Maybe. I still haven’t asked my mom.
When you going to ask your Mom?
When the time is right. If I ask at the wrong time, it won’t happen.
Jason nodded knowingly.
Tiffany? You upstairs?
Susan called out from a distance.
Tiffany quickly sat up
