Ma'heo'o translated means Great Spirit, Great One or God. The word Ma'heo'o is Cheyenne, A Native American language. his Ma’heo’o Reiki book is being offered to everyone, so that you to have the opportunity to review it and hopefully seek out an instructor to formally teach you and receive energetic attunements. It was also written for those wishing to have information to pass on to their Ma’heo’o Reiki students. To teach Ma’heo’o Reiki (and pass attunements via distance or in person), you must be a registered Ma’heo’o Reiki master teacher in order to pass on the system. This book is being updated due to some confusion and errors in layout, thank you to those who brought that to my attention. This is the most up to date version as of 2019 and supersedes any and all earlier editions of the Ma’heo’o Reiki Manuals. Please use this edition only for the instruction of all Ma’heo’o Reiki students. Teachers may add additional information to their classes as they see fit, but each student should receive a copy of this book or e-book and the required information about registration. Please keep in mind that at this time, only the English language version of this book is being updated. For other versions please contact me about their accuracy.

How to study this book

I

t is always best to study at a pace you are comfortable with. Receive attunement number one when you begin your study of Ma’heo’o Reiki, followed by attunement number two 24 to 48 hours later.

Study the pages and techniques in the order they are given. Begin by practicing how to meditate (see page xvii for instructions, if you do not already know how)

Practice each technique or exercise until you are comfortable with it, before moving on.

Practice giving healing treatments every day. You can study all you like but if you don’t practice giving treatments and getting comfortable with the energy exchange, all of your knowledge is useless.

Drink plenty of water; this promotes energy flow and flushes the toxins out of your body.

Stay away from alcohol, drugs, caffeine, etc. for at least 1 week prior to receiving attunements.

Remove jewelry prior to energy treatments. Some metals conduct energy; you don’t want this to interfere with your treatment.

Receive attunement number 3 when you have mastered the techniques for use given in this book.

Complete all assignments and tests in the workbook.

Meditation preparation

It takes practice to be able to clear your mind so don’t get discouraged if at first you have problems. The first step to any meditation is to learn to get comfortable and relax. The following exercise was written to help you prepare for the meditations listed in this manual. It is recommended, for best results, that you relax as much as possible before each meditation written in the following pages.

Relaxation Exercise

Find a quiet place where you can be alone for a while, unplug the phone or anything else distracting in the room Adjust any tight clothing and remove glasses. Sit or lie down whichever is more comfortable for you. (Be aware that it is easier to fall asleep if you are laying down.)

Quiet your mind and Still your thoughts. Relax your body starting with your face, your jaw , your neck . Now relaxing your shoulders, your arms , Now relaxing your hands, your fingers, your torso , your rear end. Relaxing your legs and your feet. Focus on your breathing; breathe deeply in through your nose and exhale deeply out through your mouth. Do this as long as it is comfortable and until you are totally relaxed.

Protection & Grounding

Once you are relaxed and your mind is quiet, you need to ask (with your thoughts) your Guides, your God, or whomever you pray to, to protect you during your meditation.

Now imagine your feet turning into tree roots and reaching down into the ground. Through the grass and dirt. Through the levels of stone and grabbing a real tight hold of Mother Earth. Feel yourself become one with Gaia, the earth mother.

Introduction What is Ma'heo'o Reiki

he term Ma’heo’o Reiki is pronounced Mah-hay-oh-oh Ray-Key. Ma’heo’o is Cheyenne (a Native American language) for Great Spirit, Great One or God. Ma’heo’o Reiki combines the elements of Earth, Air, Water and Fire with the Great Spirit to effectively activate and promote healing in the human condition. This system is simple yet powerful and can be used by anyone.

There are seven symbols that are incorporated into this healing system. The first four represent the four elements and enables us to connect with and channel Mother Earth’s energy. Combined with and activated by the last three symbols of Great Spirit, this becomes a very powerful system. It allows for a great energy channeling ability utilizing healing, light and color. Ma’heo’o Reiki pro- motes a higher intellect, grounded-ness, sense of calm, peace and relaxation. This system combines the gentleness of Reiki with the raw power of the Earth elements. Ma’heo’o Reiki can bring you into contact with your spirit totems, give you your sacred name and balance your body with the four elements of Earth.

There are 3 attunements involved in Ma’heo’o Reiki. The first two enable a better connection and a heightened sense of the elements through Mother Earth. Not only do the symbols allow harmony of the elements of Mother Earth, they allow harmony of the elements as they pertain to the human condition. The third is the Master level which connects you with Great Spirit; enabling you to harness the power of Earth and Spirit to effectively use the light as it facilitates, promotes and activates your healing from within.

Ma’heo’o Reiki is a new form of Reiki healing which does not rely exclusively on Tibetan or Sanskrit teachings but rather takes a more Earth based approached to healing. It is a system complete to itself but is comparable to traditional Reiki in that, both systems employ specific symbols and techniques. Both systems also use energy attunements as a means to pass on the vibrational energies from teacher to student. Reiki, in Japan, is a generic term used to describe many types of healing and spiritual work. It is not exclusive to the system known as Usui Reiki. Reiki is used in the name of this system to mean a spiritual healing system based on Earth centered techniques designed to bring about a feeling of oneness with all creation.

Ma’heo’o Reiki is based on the techniques I have learned, with the help of my guides, that best promote healing and the proper energy flow within the human condition. The techniques described here will enable you to be one with Mother Earth and Great Spirit. Throughout this book you will learn some history of healing, Native spirituality and how to properly circulate energy through your light body. By using this system, you can enable healing to begin for all things; Human (mammal), animal, plant, soil, water, bugs, environment, universe, etc.

There are no prior requirements to learning Ma’heo’o Reiki. It can be taught to anyone, even children. Learning to quiet the mind and creating a sacred environment within for your practice will provide you the framework that you can use
