Introduction
According to affinitynumerology.com, the number twenty-nine is highly relationship oriented. This number represents relationships, teamwork, compassion, companionship, and diplomacy.
Sometimes I write poetry. Well to be honest, I write poetry all the time. It’s not like sitting down to write anything else. I can only do it when inspired and I’m super shy to share for the most part. Until now. It’s my birthday and sharing poetry is on my ‘before thirty’ bucket list. So here it is. Take a trip to love, cynicism, and back to love with me.
Dedication
This one is to me.
Truth
The time has drawn nigh
as the night skies has given way
to the sun's incline.
For it is certain that within
these rays
lies, to some, the unfavorable exaggeration.
But to others, the blessed truth
that redeems us all to glory.
Should grace abandon me...
Should mercy forsake me...
Should justice serve me...
I shall willow away
as the autumn leaf
that has been defeated
by the summer's heat.
I shall bewitch myself
out of man's sight
and live comfortably in
invisibility.
Truth...
This is truth...
I reason with myself
to forget truth
but truth always wins.
For in the truth
is my life...
my redemption...
my humanity...
In the truth
is my salvation.
I am nothing.
Just a sinner
gifted with grace
presented with mercy.
Alas, the truth.
I sing.
Not for mere use of talent.
Not for attention,
