the first incident

Night outs are cool but sometimes they turn out to be the worst nightmares.

"Ek suhani raat thi jab chand bhi pura nikala tha,

Ghumane hum sab sath me jungle camp ki or nikale the...

Socha tha mauj masti hogi, hasi thahake honge,

Lekin kaha pata tha ye ki vo khauf ki raat hogi..."

GOOD MORNING MAA... cheerfully I greeted my mom.

Finally its Sunday, we are going to have a lot of fun today. Its family day and outing day. I have been planning for this day like after we were returning from our last trip. Wow that was real fun.

Good morning beta, have some breakfast. We are going to leave in 15 minutes.

15 minutes! I haven’t packed my belongings yet.

Come on, hurry up. Let’s keep the stuff in car. Said dad

I was excited, it was my very first jungle camp. I am the youngest in family, with an elder brother, mom and dad. A sweet happy small family. I am in class 4, and my brother in class 7. Like any other sibling we fight a lot. We all are average in health.

Here mom, done with my packing in the given time limit. Excitedly I said

Maa here’s my stuff where do I keep it?  My brother said pulling my hairs

I love my hairs the most, it’s like hairs are world to me, and they are long, like really long, just about to touch the ground. My brother hates them I don’t know why. They are so soft and silky. I guess he is jealous of not having hairs like mine.

Here bring all the bags now or else we are going to be late, we have a long journey ahead. Dad shouting standing near the car.

We have four days holiday this time for some festival so we think it’s the best time for a long road trip. We are all set to leave now thinking till the last moment hoping we haven’t forgotten anything. Its 8 in the morning and we have finally left our den. We always leave early in the morning to avoid late night drives but this time it seems we are a bit late.

These roads, this cold winds they feel so alive. Enjoying a soothing music. Everything feels so perfect.

Its noon now and I am hungry again. But this is quite strange we haven’t come across any restraunt or dhaba during this travel of 4-5 hours.

Mom, I am hungry. My stomach craves for food. I said in a caress manner

Thank god she always packs food for a day while travelling, phew and that’s such a relief.

Here, I kept the bag just under the seats. Open up the lunch box.

Oh I love you momma, its sandwiches, they smell great.

Travelling for hours we took a stop for a few minutes. No one, not a single person was around.  Empty roads, not even animals or birds just us with sun hiding behind the clouds and wind blowing. Starting the trip again a few minutes later papa decided not to stop until we see a hotel to stay for night.

We own a hatchback, the all-time love and affordable car maruti 800. Got to show some mercy to the vehicle too, right. She’s been on the street continuously for hours.

Papa, when are we going to reach? bhai said exhausted

Soon dear

Its night and I still don’t see anyone. I doubt, are we even on the right path?

It’s 11 at night and finally we saw a hotel. Papa pulled over to enquire about any empty rooms. A few moments later he came back rushing.

Come on, off the car and get to the room as soon as possible. Come on hurry. Leave everything here, just hurry.

The plot of the book is amazing with a new sense of adventures and the detailing feels like real. Every chapter is based on a new thrill and entirely different from that of previous one's.

The quotes at the starting of every chapter are really good and creates suspense and curiosity to know more about it.
