Day:1

It was just the beginning

With a ring of alarm, as a routine, we wake up. A man thinks he does, strange. But it was a different day; it really had a wake-up call hidden. The point is when were we to come out of our inertia? It was beginning of a higher evolution.

Well, it was alright to be at home that day. The thought was somewhat relaxing too that we did not have timelines or deadlines. That you could be in your comfortable attires for the whole day, you do not have to shave and get ready.

One could enjoy his mug of coffee without any hustle, read the newspaper, Oh no!!! Not the newspaper. Papers were to be avoided. They said that virus lived for 12 hours on the paper. Television was the better option, but what? No, it was ridiculous; all the news channels spoke about the rising figures, deaths, sufferings and helplessness. The things appeared scarier. But, what was next?

Here, we need to stop. Till a day back, we were getting the updates from media and social media about this precarious organism and its ruthless conduct but they did not bother us the way the updates did today. What was the reason? The situation was already bad around the world for couple of months. The condition was worsening as the counts of death were growing in numbers. This global threat was widening its size; however, we were not much affected.

Other days we were occupied in our routine, and we found the threat standing away. Today suddenly we realized that the end had reached us. It was standing right outside the door.

My goodness, we felt the goose bumps, the body acted to its primal instinct. Death is not an easy task to accept. No matters how well aware you are, still you will be moved on the knock of it.

Watching towards the road standing against window, the sight was disturbing. Hollowness is always cryptic; it is not something we are used to of seeing in our day to day life. No trace of vehicle on otherwise crowded road said that something was
